I have been thinking aloud and asking myself this question. “Why do ladies wear white gown and guys wear other colours during wedding?” It is called white wedding so I think both are supposed to wear white. See The reason below:

The essence of that white garment had been defeated. It signifies virginity and purity and the unveiling signifying she had no canal knowledge of any man but today we retain the tradition but discard the purpose.
Since White garment represents virginity that’s why some churches in Nigeria stopped wedding couples who already have kids or whom the bride is pregnant.
Because it signifies purity since is their first wedding. However, when a lady or woman is marrying for
the second time, she goes for a different color.
