I have a friend that does airtel BIS for modem. He uses it strictly for browsing and it finishes with 2 days. In a week, he subscribes about 3 times. Please is there anything wrong with the BIS.

Peak period(6a.m to 10p.m) data are charged at 1.5mb, off peak period( 10p.m to 6a.m) data are charged at 1.0mb. If he opens a page worth 50mb,multiply it by 1.5.mb gives 75mb during peak while using same data would be 50mb( 1.0mb* 50mb). This rate is strictly to non bb devices. Remember that pc consumption is slightly different from mobile phones coupled with the fact that airtel data isn't what they give. If he had subscribed for or was in airtel bb plan , he would be given 3gig as airtel isn't offering 2g. In terms of value, he was given 2.5gig while the remaining 500mb is on fair usuage. To actually know the value of data, he should dial *141*1# and follow the prompt asking him to check is data balance especially if he just subscribed to it. Checking via this ussd *123*9# also work but it doesn't show the real value.
Possible solutions
1. Check whether is wifi is on probably someone is using it
2. Subcribe to the android plans by dialing *141# to select from the available data plans. Note you are charged normal
