Why are some people like this?

Has he said you should not talk about Ohaneze Ndigbo? He said Biafra...if you don't like his decision Bleep off!

You Igbos and this victim mentality. This is what limits you and makes you clamour for Biafra when you should be leading other people in this country because of your qualities.

Dear Mr.Seun, did you forget that Nairaland is the cyber reflection of Nigeria?
Nairaland reflects and passes out information on whatever is happening in Nigeria to our diasporas and the world at large.

There is a secession by the Igbo and Niger Delta people happening in Nigeria now. . . why veil it?

Because you love Biafrans hence you don't want them to seek for freedom even though they are being marginalized and denied certain privileges?

Wow! This is the highest height of selfishness and hypocrisy I've ever witnessed in my life!!

Oga Seun, it is quite obvious you've let your belief, tribe and personal desires becloud your judgement and stance on this issue.

You have succeeded in provoking the ones who are taciturn in nature!

I am not a ProBiafran activist. If you check my whole posts on this forum, I've never for one day talked about the Biafran struggle. I just keep my calm and observe.

And I tell you, I've observed a lot of negative treatments by the Nigerian Govt. towards the Biafran people!
And today you have given us that same treatment.

For even categorizing the Biafran people with "hacking, trolling and etc" is enough insult to my people!!!!

You have awoken us, Seun!! You have shown your true color!!!!

Bros without insult or offence, with all due respect, can u pls highlight one thing yoruba's enjoy more than the SE?
EmoBoy:
1. You Nigerians complain and agree that the country is not united but are opposed to people who are agitating to form a country free from these problems
2. Like Sweetguy25 said in his thread, Yoruba and hausa are the only two tribes enjoying this scam called Nigeria. Igbos and their sisters in the Nigerian Delta don't gain anything by being Nigerians. The only reason Yoruba are happy being Nigerians is because the development of Nigeria is taking place in their region.
3. Nigeria does Not love the Igbos and Niger Deltans. Please remove that statement from. The Riverine environment of the Niger Delta has been destroyed from oil activities that bankrolls the country. Yoruba and Hausa don't care.

He couldn't reply.. A country built with lies and hate won't last long.. Nigeria is not our problem.. Our leaders are our problem.. Nigeria need restructuring.. not Biafra.. Biafra is an Igbo idea and a way to control oil themselves.. Our position is very clear. They can go with anioma , Igake people of Edo but any Attempt to include our land will be dealt with.

They are warned

You go ban tire na. So what happens to freedom of expression and beliefs? So Yorubas are free to aspire and promote their Odua beliefs and Hausas, Arewa but Igbos of course are to be banned to talk or aspire for their beliefs in Biafra. Highly disappointed in you Seun.

What stops you from coming up with a superior argument why they should remain in Nigeria? Why are you so scared to discuss Biafra? Must we all have the same line of thoughts or intellectual discourse? I reject being or tagged a zombie where a fellow man will dictate what I discuss.

That's where I draw the line. I kept quiet cos am still in shock that such a step would be taken by Seun himself. The Biafra idea really meant almost nothing to me till this supposed ban. I have always had problems with rules and regulations most especially if it encroaches on freedom of speech and the rights of a human being to express himself. Those things make me thing and ask myself why this Biafra thing scares people?

Seun, I have so much to say to you, but there is no point because you won't read it.

Under your watch Nairaland has been denigrated to a site that promotes sickening tribalism, an entire race is continually insulted and denigrated because of actions and beliefs of less than 20% of the people and you and your mods watch and promote these actions simply because they are not against your people

I hope this rule means that any threads that speak ill of Biafra must not be created as well, in fact, there should be no mention of Biafra or Igbo at all here, I hope it will also work unlike the useless rule on tribes that has failed horribly.

You are a black man and true to your nature, you will always return to your caveman tactics of muzzling any ideas you don't believe in rather than trying to understand them, the black man's nature will always be his downfall

I have spoken my mind for the last time here, henceforth, I will refrain from posting on any threads outside Literature section pending when I can move my stories.

Thank you for the platform given to me here to meet awesome people like TheSupernerd, Icon4s, joseph1013 thegoodjoe, jeffreyjamez, ethereal, twaci, iamkingzlee, cfcman, blueto, ishilove, uzolexis, airmark and many more great Nigerians..... if nothing else, I can attribute a lot of learning and the opportunity to meet these people to NL.

Best of luck with this site, I hope it lives up to your dreams even if it has disappointed many

Nwanne,vI understand how u feel.pls take it. I felt dissappointed too when I saw this thread. We know hu we are as an ethnic grp, a race and as a people. No matter any attempt to quench any agitation we remain hu we are nt even seun and his modes can stop it.

It is well.

@Seun

Let me add that you should have employed a PR specialist to advice you on this. Your tittle should appear neutral even if you had something else in mind.

It shouldn't have been addressed to any specific tribe or group. It should have simply said,

Dear Nairalanders,

Nairaland is devoted to promoting Nigeria as a single indivisible entity. As such we do not subscribe to being used to promote any secessionist theory or goal.

To this end all posts that promote division or session in whatever form will no longer be allowed on Nairaland, as it goes against our values. This new rule will therefore affect all calls for Biafra, Oodua Republic, Niger Delta Republic, Arewa Republic etc

Violation of this new rule will attract an automatic ban.

Thank you for understanding and I hope your stay on Nairaland continues to be fun, engaging and insightful.

God Bless Nairaland, God Bless Nigeria.

Wishing the best of the Season and a wonderful 2016.

Seun

Why lecture him on elementary PR ..he thinks that he knows it all

Absolutely on-point Seun! There are some of us who come on nairaland even during work periods basically to ease off the stress. The nairaland i knew some few years ago has been totally transformed to a form almost despicable owing to some miscreants disguising under whatever. One of the scary consequences is gradual assimilation of all these hatred being spewed here in to real life activities!

Even the pictures of other people doing certain stuffs making frontpage e.g see "what davido is wearing this morning", can be quite appalling!

Kudos to you once again Seun for restoring some measure of sanity. I hope the Mod is as efficient though.
