Well Nairaland is a privately owned website and it has rules as to what it considers freedom of expression. If you feel the almighty chapter 4 article 39 (of the Grand Norm) is being tampered with, you can only seek to express your views in other forums. I'm not sure anyone planning to even sue Seun on this will succeed. |

Seun, don't play politics with your business. You are only creating OVER 100000 enemies to yourself, and exposing nairaland to potential attacks. You can't defeat an ideology #BeWise. #ProtectOurNairaland #SayNoToRule9 #EndTimeRule 5 Likes |

Seun this is wrong... You have a right to your opinion, and even to air it (though you shouldn't have), but it's very wrong to enforce it on a public forum. Biafra agitation is an "OPINION" and in a "Free World" opinions must be allowed and respected. Nairaland is a social media platform, therefore banning Biafran agitators is tantamount to "blocking there opinion", which amounts to you being "anti social media and anti-freedom of speech". So therefore it is wrong for you to go ahead with this action and I seriously urge you to reconsider it. Kind Regards.. 2 Likes |

I know the promoters of Biafra will not take this lightly. But Nairaland is a Nigerian forum (at least naira is Nigerian currency) and any idea that negates the sanctity of the Nigerian nation should not be promoted on the forum.bravo Seun, u have shown the world again u are a true leader. 1 Like |

Don't be ridiculous!!! Listen to yourself. Would he (seun) be making a dime if people do not flock to his site? Why all the antagonism? One drop at a time can fill a cup; we (nairaland users) are the drops and he seun is the man who holds the cup (bank account). Wisdom profits much. Gaborone: 2 Likes |

Mr. Seun....few hours of media attention on you wouldn't have been a bad idea when you thought about posting this. However, being an entrepreneur myself, I might concur with terms which suggest that you could be making a negative business move. Did you bother to check the percentage of users that are Igbos? What if your competitors take advantage of this slight negligence through some cheaply sponsored campaigns to tag Nairaland as racists? I could go on, but I believe you are already thinking I'm a frustrated Biafran Agitator. Well, I'm just a businessman, and if I were u, I would wait for the government to declare their (IPOB) activities illegal and totally prohibited before I reduce traffic on my website. Thanks 3 Likes 1 Share |

Mr Osewa, do you know what you have written and decided to do shows how antagonistic and sectoral you can be! Yes, I dare put it to you that by law, infringement of people's fundamental human rights is a punishable offence. You claim you love the Igbo's (whom your people detest), yet you are forcefully restraining them from championing their course/speaking out. If you believe and live by the truth, you would know that the south-Eastern people of Nigeria have been long marginalised, segregated and discriminated against. Why a one-sided verdict? What then happens to those who slay these tribes here on your site? Your tribesmen and their allies say the worst about them at any given opportunity, yet you did nothing to stop that. You claim you love us from the South-East, Such love!!! Why didn't you in times past stop the tribal slurs and degrading words? Why must one party who cries out be punished, while the other goes scot-free? I am not one of those who are struggling for Biafra (which once existed, although not as a country), I am someone who champions the course of the oppressed in my own little way. Have you spent an hour with a mute man before? Well I have and that man without speech has so much to say, but circumstances wouldn't let the words out. the speech-impaired pray in their hearts and wish they would one day utter as little as a word! Be a fair umpire in your mediations. If you believe in favouring your camp at the expense of others, then you have God to answer to and trust me, God Almighty does not respect any man. If you must ban/prohibit, then do it the honourable and just way. Let all those who default be equally punished/banned. Fear God and value the peace you claim you are fostering. Only a man without a conscience or value for the rights and privileges of others accorded them by God would delete, hide or ban my post. I wish you (Seun) and your "moderator (Mr Mynd) well. God bless. N/B: Lest I forget, the Igbo's and the Niger-Deltans (Ijaw and co) are on different pages, championing different courses. One must not be mistaken for the other and both mustn't be likened to each other. To all those opting for Biafra via war/violence, bear it in mind that the actualisation of any sovereign state is not an easy journey. Many things are involved and tact, diplomacy and prayers are essential. I do not support maltreatment of any sort. If you must speak, do so without demeaning/insulting others. If you are on a geniune struggle, do so in justice, equity and fairness. Do not force people to stay on despite the way you treat them, also, do not treat your host badly. Every tribe, nation has the good, the bad, the impossible and the indifferent. Seun: 7 Likes |

You are not different from the others who love to sling mud. The world knows that your "Ijaw" people and the Igbo's are championing a very different and unrelated course. You talk about the Biafra agitation being the aftermath of greed blablabla.. Pray, tell, what do you say about your millitants and warlords who indulge in oil bunkering, violence, kidnapping, e.t.c.? They are the pioneers of your struggle, the founding fathers of your struggle, yet they do not have the best interest of your people at heart. As for the installation of warrant chiefs by the colonialists, that was done to disenfranchise and immobilise the various Igbo towns in those days and impose taxes and duties on the people through an elected chieftain who is one of them. I know a lot about the history of many Nigerian tribes, I am not a novice. Many Igbo towns had been in existence centuries and centuries ago. Tackle your issues with Seun and leave the Igbo's out of it. coolscott: |
