Airtel Call Assist is a service that offers busy
executives, business owners, top
government functionaries, individuals etc the
opportunity to flexibly delegate their call-
picking responsibilities to their assistants or
whoever they want.
Who is an Assistant?
An assistant is a person delegated by the
subscriber to pick calls for him or her. The
person could be the spouse, son, daughter,
secretary, Personal Assistant(PA) or whoever
the subscriber wants.
Tariff and Shortcode
Customer sends “Call” to 38464 to subscribe
via SMS or dials *464#
Call Assist service charges all subscribers
N750/month irrespective of service class or
tariff plan.
The service operates with three(3) options
available for subscribers to choose or select
from: 1. Live It’s a scenario whereby subscriber and assistant’s phones ring at the same time, and whoever picks first, answers the call(s). Subscriber can transfer call by pressing *1, while the assistant can transfer call by pressing *2 at anytime. How to Use Customer texts “LIVE” to 38464; he will receive the confirmation message: You're now on Live Assistance. Live Assistance allows you to receive calls simultaneously with your assistant. The call is transferred to whoever replies or answers first. 2. Controlled It’s a scenario whereby the subscriber’s phone rings, he drops or rejects the call, and the call goes to the assistant. How to Use Customer texts “CONTROL” to 38464. The customer gets confirmation message: You’re now on Controlled Assistance: Controlled assistance allows you to transfer calls to your assistant once dropped, rejected or dismissed. 3. Timed It’s a scenario whereby call comes to the customer’s phone, if the customer didn’t pick after 10s, the call is automatically transferred to the assistant. How to Use Customer texts “TIMED” to 38464. The customer gets confirmation message: You're now on Timed Assistance: Timed Assistance allows you to automatically transfer calls when not answered to your assistance after 10seconds. How to Choose an Assistant After subscription, customer text assistant’s Airtel number to 38464 (e.g 0708XXXXXXX to 38464) and gets the message below: Dear customer, Your Assistant request was successful. 708XXXXXXX have been paired as your Assistant. You can press *1 any time to put the caller on hold and talk to your assistant , than when you hang up, the call goes back to the assistant. For more info reply with HELP. Thank you. How to Change an Assistant If a customer wants to change his or her assistant number: Customer sends “change new number” e.g. change 0802XXXXXXX to 38464. Customer gets the confirmation message below: Dear Customer, Your Assistant request was successful.802XXXXXXX have been paired as your Assistant. For more info reply with HELP. How To’s 1. How to turn ON Call Assist: Send “ON” to 38464. 2. How to turn OFF Call Assist: Send “OFF” to 38464. 3. How to TURN ON Call Assist on Working Days(Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm): Send “ON WD” to 38464. 4. How to TURN OFF Call Assist on Working Days: Send “OFF WD” to 38464. 5. How to whitelist or privatize a number (it means only the subscriber’s number rings when such number(s) call): Send PRIVATE number(0708XXXXXXX) to 38464. 6. How to check list of white listed or privatized numbers: Send “PRIVATE” to 38464. 7. How to delete or remove a number from private list: Send “REMOVE 0708XXXXXXX” to 38464. 8. How to clear all numbers from the private list: Send “CLEAR PRIVATE” to 38464. 9. How to transfer call(s) to his or her Assistant: Press *1 at anytime. 10.
