Hello People!

I must say I was proud Obama was African and very ashamed that Africa, as a continent, has not produced such a leader in recent times.
President Obama spoke extemporaneously - no notes - and made such linked points across a broad range of issues.
America has a very pragmatic and ideological leader in him.
As a Nigerian who is job-hunting all over again after an M.Sc. in the UK, it hurts (and doubly so) that my country Nigeria is so far behind in comparison.
I have acquired so much knowledge in Oil and Gas and Process Systems Engineering. The Upper Chambers of the Nigerian Senate just let gas-flaring on, till 2010! What can I do?
The equipment to stop this are not being invented. They exist and ARE in use.
What can be done for my country?
I have resolved to learn from Obama, and hope to practice someday.
Any ideas on any other presently practical way to reflect Nigeria's collective knowledge?

Oh! That my President can reason extemporaneously with intellectual Nigerian students!

America has always been careful in electing the kind of leaders that suit them. I remember Bill Clinton who would talk for hours with occassional glances at a paper whose size would be like that of table pad. Unfortunately, we've always had leaders who would read every sentence and every line from prepared speeches. Some would even make the speeches so boring by uncountable eemm, eemmm, eemmms they do coupled with terribly irritating clearing of throats.
