Although God doesn't need old time sacrifices and offerings,rituals of the Old testaments-Isaiah 1:10-14.He demands Genuine repentance from Christians in festive seasons like this in order to attain More spiritual heights and progress.
It is in festive seasons like this that people ought to get their spiritual deliverance from Bondages, yokes,covenants,oaths,oppression,regression,possesson,depression,digression and supression.
Isaiah 1:18-20 gives us God's call of truth.
Nehemiah describes a return of backslidden people, they were restored in their captivity and after a longtime of rebellion and forsaking the Lord.
These Israelites read the word of God on a certain day from morning till evening. They opened the bible that was closed for so long in freedom.In their captivity they remembered God. 'The nature of man is such that we forget God when things are rosy,fine,elegant and easy going and remember him in trouble,situation and circumstances.Nehemiah 8:2-8 describes the position of things and conscecration,dedication unto the lord.
Immediately after all those repentance,then the children of God were able to now dance! Dance! Dance!!
They were able to eat and drink and celebrate with the fear of God because sin brings sorrow and suffering.so also it has to be in Modern christianity.
I believe festive seasons must be graced with the fear of God and not gluttony,overeating,drinking,staling and fornication and all manner of iniquities.
Nehemiah now told the isrealites ''go your way,eat the fat and drink::Nehemiah 8:10-13
Remeber they fasted and prayed!!! As written in chapter 9.

All world calendars of festive days must be converted into praying and fasting days for christians d earlier part so that they would celebrate in the fear of God and not be surcharged with riotous living, surfeiting and drunkness and the day of rapture catches them Unawares!!!

Today, when festive seasons begins to draw nearer, christians now start to have cares and worries, they begin to work against matthew 6:33-end.They loose focus and run after worldy things and evil desires come into their hearts.
Things now become easy immediately the embrace the devil and backslide. But they loose the kingdom of God.
