Igbo Community Development Association (ICDA), Akwa Ibom State has advised Nigerians not to politicise the ongoing anti-corruption war instituted by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. Rather, the group, said to be an umbrella union for all Igbo groups in Akwa Ibom, has thrown its weight behind the anti-corruption crusade, even as it appealed to Nigerians not see the exercise as a witch-hunt of key players of former president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. A statement made available to Daily Sun yesterday, signed by Nze Obi Anthony, who is the chairman of the group’s electoral inauguration committee, decried the cynicism with which many people are regarding the anti-corruption war. “Some people say Buhari’s administration is selective in its anti-corruption drive but we wish to call on Nigerians to be patient because the world is watching the president,” adding that the crusade has started yielding results. The statement revealed that the group intends to, on Friday December 18, inaugurate its newly elected executive members into office. sunnewsonline.com/new/dont-politicise-buharis-anti-corruption-war-igbo-community-in-aibom/ |
