Donald Trump's doctor has claimed he will be the healthiest EVER president

The controversial frontrunner for the Republican Party has released a letter from the physician – which claims he is a vision of health.

The note signed by Dr Harold Bornstein describes Trump’s cardiovascular status as ‘excellent’ and says he has not had surgery since he was 10, nor does he smoke or drink.

It states he has lost 15 pounds in the last year, has never had cancer, or orthopaedic surgery and has normal blood pressure.

The letter has described Donald Trump as perfectly healthy

Dr Bornstein writes that he has been Trump's physician since 1980, and that his patient has no significant medical problems, with a recent medical examination showing only positive results.

“His physical strength and stamina,” Bornstein wrote, “are extraordinary”.

Rivals Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush and Chris Christie have released medical records many weeks ago, but the Trump campaign held back.

Trump has boasted about his health, using his parents long lives as evidence of his ‘good genes’.

He also takes pride in his manly diet of bacon and steaks.

Trump's doctor's letter stands out, as it begins with a typo – saying 'to whom my concern' instead of 'to whom it may concern' – and includes a lot of the same campaign buzzwords – like 'stamina’.

Later, it describes the candidates lab results as “astonishingly excellent”.

Actual medical records were not included but it announced Trump takes 81 milligrams of Aspirin and a low dose of statin, a cholesterol reducer.

Dr Bornstein concluded: "If elected, Mr Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency".

In a statement along with the letter Trump wrote: “I am proud to share this report, written by the highly respected Dr Jacob Bornstein of Lenox Hill Hospital, stating that I am in excellent health.

“I am fortunate to have been blessed with great genes – both of my parents had very long and productive lives.”

The letter had actually been written by Jacob Bornstein's son, Harold.

Jacob Bornstein, the letter notes, had been Trump's previous physician, while the son is now his current doctor.

Trump added: “I have truly enjoyed working on the campaign trail with one objective in mind, to Make America Great Again! People have been impressed by my stamina, but to me it has been easy because I am truly doing something that I love.
