Assuming you were a marriage or relationship counsellor/advisor and you find out one of your clients was your ex, maybe you didn't know has gotten married or the relationship did not end well and the new partner, how would you react and feel? Would you advise them? |

I think it would be seen as unethical to give advice to a former lover here in the states so I would refer him t another advisor. There is a presumption of impropriety when u have been in a romantic relationship with someone and then are in a fiduciary relationship of trust and confidence. I would not risk my profession. However, if I were just a lay person, no problem. |

Romeo4real: @ romeo - I know exactly what it states. I still would not do it. I would avoid all appearance of impropriety. |
