This is a very sad development at this point. These two tribes have been living in peace for quite a long time. Yes there has been cases of clashes between them in the time past, but were amicably resolve.

Share is predominantly Yoruba area while Tsaraji is populated by the Nupes. The two tribes have long settled along the major road stretching from Ilorin to Lafiagi. Hardly could anyone notice the difference between the two settlements when traveling along the road.

The present Governor of Kwara State is from Share, the Yoruba settlement area. It is a known fact that salaries have not been paid for some months now in the state. I hope this has not in some ways fueled the recent clash.

I hope a lasting solution could be found to resolve this conflict just as it was done between the Ife and Modakeke.

Conflicts and seseless killings is definitely not what we want now in the Country. So many innocent lives have been lost in recent years and we should apply for calm and show restraints at this time. We need peace and love more than anything else.

They are neigbouring towns divided by a road ,one occupied by the yoruba ,the other by Nupe. Share is the home town of present Governor of Kwara state .

This trouble has been on for years ..history had it that the Nupe were the original inhabitant of the area bfore the yoruba came to settled there .May God give them peace .
