Today was my second time of riding on his bike. On the first occasion I never knew he had no fingers on his right hands until the point of giving him money. I was surprised and didn't even know what to say that day but today when I sighted him, I quickly stopped him because I wanted to have a talk with him as I understand Hausa. In as much as I praise this man for not allowing his disability to turn him into a public headache, I will equally caution him to look for a less risky job to do.His disability will prevent him from being in control of the motorcycle. With his condition, he exposes his passengers and himself to serious danger.

As much as i admire his doggedness to eke out a living the legal way, i must say this is equally dangerous. Looking at his right hand, how will he engage the front brake in the case of an emergency.

Many motorcycles don't have a functional hand brake. Even some riders doesn't even know its function. In a nut shell, he doesn't need much fingers to turn the turtle. Without the hand brake, a motorcycle is still good to go, even when the clucth accidentally cuts, d motorcycle is still good to go. Only a learner would complain about that. Ask those who are proffessional in riding it, they'll confirm my claims

For him to say 'he can' t beg' in Ibadan where the major occupation is BEGGING... I am truly impressed and May God bless his hustle.
