After Brunei, Somalia Bans Christmas, New Year Celebrations by oludashmi(f): 7:47pm On Dec 23, 2015
Just as the Sultan of Brunei did, the Somalian government has banned the celebration of Christmas in its territory, warning that such Christian festivities could threaten the Muslim faith.

Somalia government claims Christmas and New year celebration festivities are against Islam and could be a potential target for terrorists.

Security agencies have been directed to stay alert to stop any gatherings.

Foreigners are free to mark the Christian holiday in their own homes, but hotels and other public places have been prohibited from marking the day.

How fair is this action? Ban rather than improve upon security? Are the Somalis trying to justify Trump's proposal to keep muslims out of the US?
