efcc and the dss are funny people o.
see how dem dey use dasuki play pingball.
on a normal day, i would say they are abusing their powers and are in contempt of court. But the nigerian judiciary don dey fked up.....Ibori's case comes to mind here....where it took a foriegn court to bring him to justice.
until the judiciary starts living up to their responsibility, EFCC should continue with this strategy.

The decision to keep Dasuki in the custody of the EFCC may be for his own good. He could be a target for assassination by those who don't him to reveal their names as beneficiaries the security fund.

We are so happy that court order is deceptively or flagrantly disobeyed because it is Dasuki. What we don't know is that more confusion, more crisis and more chaos is brewed when you try to correct a wrong with an evil doing. There is no subtitute to due process if we seek a peacefully and clean society.

This Government has no regards for rule of law. It is unfortunate that the masses pretends not to know the danger such development posses to democracy.

You talk as if you want to deny that innocent people have never been accused of crying they didnt commit before. People's right irrespective of their crime as long as they have not been convicted must be guaranteed at all time. Thats is the bedrock of justice. There can never be justice where there is no fairness.

Dasuki is not innocent! There are some situations where prosecution needs not to be prolonged and dasuki's case is just one of many... this wicked man knew full well that soldiers were not provided arms and they were sent to war fronts to face terrorists who are well armed while he was busy enjoying and sharing money meant for weapons. Who could be so wicked than this? After some of those guys refused as they claimed, they charged them for mutiny and wanted to sentence them to death. What a mess! What do u call that? Fairness? People who are not being fare to others should not enjoy a bit of fairness from anyone. Thats my position!

I understand your point and I understand your passion and zeal. Quite unfortunately rather we don't make law for one person or one scenario but we make law to govern all. Secondly people are not pronounced guilty until their case have been proven and they are convicted in court. On that basis Dasuki for now is innocent. The onus is on the state to proof his guilt. Until then he has to be presume innocent. Thats is how our law works and anything short of that is jungle justice which can only with time lead us into anarchy.
On the issue of soldiers found guilty of mutiny, their cases have been reviewed and some of them have been absorbed back into the army. That is some justice done there. However as wicked as we were made to believe that their cases were not all have their verdict upturned. Meaning some actually committed mutiny. What many of us failed to understand is that the same lawlessness that pervades the upper echelon of our society is also rampant among the lower cadre of the society. People joined a military organisation but they want to continue to behave like civilians. The word mutiny unfortunately occur in military dictionary and when you sign to join the army you sign to obey your superior. Nigerian military itself has been so bastardised that even the soldiers in term of discipline do not fare better than their superior. How many of our soldiers can boast of entering the army on merit? Many denied legitimate recruits and use connection to enter the army because they think it is better being in the army than being jobless. When time arrives however to go and perform their professional duty, no one wants to die. You want to argue they run away because their is no weapon but I ask: Do they expect a system built on injustice, a system that lacks merit to produce people that will provide them weapon? Rtd. Gen Buhari till date couldnt produce his certificate. Do you know implication of that? People actually rose in our army without basic qualification. No wonder we produced a General Abacha!
The long and short is that our system is built on fraud and injustice and as such we will continue to have all these problems. You can hang Dasuki but there are millions Dasuki out there. Infact many of those who want to use Dasuki as scapegoat are hardly better than him. That is the harsh truth and you can't get justice out of injustice. Never!

The prosecution of one of Tinubu, Fasola and Amaechi for me would pass even more message across.

I wonder why Dasuki has not collapsed for being denied overseas medical treatment all this while! The end-time judge that first released him on bail should cover his face in shame! Dasuki is still hale and hearty to stand trial and kuje mosquitoes for over a month now! This goes to show that the bail was 'arrange' bail and a ruse, actively promoted by his 'SAN' lawyer and aided by the judge! Nigeria judiciary is a serious and an embarrassing clog in the wheel of fighting corruption. They easily compromise! In any case, Is it a coincidence that Boko haram has become feeble since Dasuki went on trial? God help this country! Dasuki should not be allowed to go on bail until he cooperates and assist the government to contain Boko haram by giving useful information at his disposal. I sympathies with him in this peculiar situation, but our collective security interest as a nation overrides his singular right to bail!

My prayer since the commencement of Dansuki's trial is that he should be made to pay for sending our gallant soldiers to their early and avoidable grave.

However, the way EFCC and DSS are violating court orders is just a great threat to our democracy. Yes, it is Dansuki today and we are all silent. Tomorrow, who's next? Gross disregard for the rule of law has taken over our nation and we are all silent about it.
Nigerians are generally short sighted. Those that are violating defendants' rights today will one day become victims of same treatment they are giving others.

Don't mind the ignoramuses. It's Dasuki today. It could be any of us tomorrow. Nnamdi Kanu, the pro-Biafra activist is going through the same nonsense in the hands of the idiots at DSS. Same with the ex-NIMASA boss. They charge to court after keeping the defendant longer than the constitution allows them, court grants bail, they re-arrest.
Sometimes I feel ashamed being a Nigerian.
