It has been cleared and everything returned back to normal in a very short time. Thank goodness for the efficient LASTMA, police and FRSC officials that were on hand. |

eluquenson: Lagos state is burdened for the fuel supply of the whole nation as virtually all the tank farms are located in apapa Lagos, coupled with the fact that the two busiest sea ports are located in the same vicinity. Meanwhile there are basically two points of entry in and out of these two ports, the ijora axis and the mile 2 axis points, while the mile 2 is virtually grounded, it leaves the ijora axis as the major entry point for cars and articulated vehicles. Ambode acted in the larger public interest by attempting to restrict movement to certain time of the night, however the logistics of that is that there would always be heavy backlog of trucks by the morning. 24hrs is not enough, now there is no way a 12 hours restriction will not bring greater chaos than it was meant to resolve 1 Like |

Containers were banned 4months ago.... Containers still play the road in broad day light Seems the Lagos state Government is asleep.. There has been one container or heavy duty truck accident in Lagos every month since the ban |
