Litmus as a true child of Nigeria don't disgrace her by living past your 40s. Wink True Nigerians, crook or not, would know what I mean. Those who do the complaining should go kill themselves rather than live with the shame they so obviously say they feel about being Nigerian or else go away and don’t return or comment on Nigeria. |

Redman44: What is your definition of progress? having a good imitation of western models and standards? Who are you? how did your ancestors live? The europeans and asians are cousins, both are indo-european and both are the antithesis of divinity. They corperate to globalize the devils ways and they keep the afurakan at the bottom as a permanent underclass. Their very existence depends on their parasitic relationship with the afurakans and afuraka. They are vampires. If we disappear they disappear. We are the original beings and our ways ought to differ diametrically from theirs. They have always copied from us and not vice versa. We must look within ourselves, commune with our Gods and ancestors, study ourstory and look around our local commuinities for all necessary righteous law that pertain to governace, spirituality, culture and economics. Any other approach will be self-destructive and futile. You can't out devil the devil. Lions ought to act like lions and hyenas, hyenas. Take heed. |

Nigeria is the GIANT of poverty. Giant in terms of African population means more impoverished people. |
Re: Is Nigeria Really The Gaint Of Africa? by Redman44(m): 7:17pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
@fayahsoul I know who I am and where I'm going. I respect your views concerning this thread but it is very uncouth to generalize that Nigerians are stupid. Yeah, the Europeans and Asians have contributed to our failures in one way or the other but it is because we allowed it. There is no fire without some smoke. Lizards will have nowhere to live if our walls are not cracked. Inter-Group relations has been ongoing for centuries and it is still in place. You're free to advocate for the implementation of your ideas. This is a free world, mate. Just dont come to a hasty conclusion that Nigerians are generally stupid. Cheers. |

Litmus: What shame? I feel no shame about being Nigerian, if it were not like people like me and my family Nigeria would and Africa would have no goodwill left in the world towards it. I went to my sister's High School Graduation and the Valedictorian Is an American of Nigerian descent with a full ride to MIT. I cannot imagine them being afforded the same opportunities in Nigeria. I amonly feel ashamed of you. Wouldn't it be funny if you happen to live outside of Nigeria? or Better yet to find out that you work in the generator industry or someone within your immediate family is growing fat off the grouse of Nigeria illegally. Just because you've never left Lagos, Abuja, PH and go see what the average Nigerian lives like is no excuse for your gross ignorance of your own country. I don't see how anyone can laud the government of Nigeria as anything but shameful, talk less about bigging it up as Great Nation among Nations. |

Why are we insulting ourselves when the true culprits seats in Aso rock sipping red burgundy on ice. We like show of words that don't produce any effect. How many positive cause do we have in the nation? You that is complaining, what have you done to change your next door neighbor suffering? Talking will not change a thing but putting our acts together and effecting lives in our own small way. He that is faithful in little shall be faithful in much. |

Nigeria was formally the giant of Africa, but things has change a lot in the polity,we are not even in the first ten African countries, the earlier we accept this the better for us, because we lack leaders with deep political and philosophical insight on the basic need of the masses. It is when and only when revolution takes its course that the sleeping giant of Africa will awake from it's slumber. |
Re: Is Nigeria Really The Gaint Of Africa? by GeorgeD1(m): 7:40pm On Jun 15, 2009 |
Point of correction. We were never giants of africa. Only noise makers. |

The greatest LIABILITY of a foolishman is SELF DENIAL and for a wiseman, he will celebrate with the fool knowing fully well that everything else to him(the wiseman) is an ASSET. The owner of a SLAVE owns not only him but the SLAVE assets. NIGERIA IS THE PROVERBIAL FOOLISHMAN who live in self denial. We are not even the Giant of West Africa, Yes we have the potential, but that means Nothing until the potentials are harnessed. Unfortunately if you have YAR A'CLUELESS we don't need to worry anymore we will continue to be in SELF DENIAL with 7 POINTLESS AGENDA, VISIONLESS 2020 and DIVERSION 'SELECTION 2011' The truth hurts but it never changes to be the truth. Major Road linking the business capital(lagos) with East and some other part of the country are in shambles, no new ones are built neither are they repaired. The servant leader spent 2 years in ASO ROCK and still continue to study his handover files, trying to do on the job learing. I said it before and I will say it again, If the office of the President is YAR A'LIARS fathers business will he employ himself as an employee to run the busness while doing on the job learning. HOPE is the only thing remaining for Nigeria, otherwise there is nothing left from idioits calling themselves politicians. |

the Americans says that opinion is like an asshole and that everybody got one.much as we try to criticise nigeria because of bad leadership and things going generally wrong,i want to beg people like fayahsoul not to insult our general inteligence by implying that nigerians are stupid.i know that u are not a nigerian, and that is the gospel truth.people like u are simply uneducated inthe things of this world and generally uncouthed idiots who have the manners of a seaside boers.when push comes to shove in africa,we will be the giant that we are meant to be,bt the truth of the matter is that we 9ijas are tired of livig poor and miserable in the midst of plenty.bt when nxt u want to start throwing insults around, let me know where u live anywhere on the face of this earth and i promise u that u will get a bellyfull of ass whupping.filho da puta .we nigerians both home and abroad will do our best to protect our dear country frm imposters and confusionists like u while at the same time criticising our country constructively.there is no country inthe world without some form of corruption or the other.atleast we are privey to what is happening in her majestys country where people were corruptly lining there pockets with frivolous expenses claims.that was not in 9ija,mind u.cheers |

Most of you do not know the meaning of suffering coming here to bleat about no electricity and dishonouring the place where your ancestors are burred all in the name of the white mans products. 1) One day I saw Odumegwu Ojukwu he was riding in a motorcade and the people shouted hurrah, hurrah--- 2) Biafra win the war, Armoured car, shelling machine, heavy artillery--- 3) Sheri 'm-o, isi'm bgalaga ? Sheri'm-o, isi'm bglaga? O sheiri is'm-bgalaga onye ga qam mbgo mam bgalaga ? 4) We are soldiers matching off to warfront in the name of Jesus we shall conquer--- Nigeria is the Giant of Africa. When the people of NOK were smelting iron in Nigeria the peole in the rest of africa were still scratching thire ampits and looking for fleas between thire legs. |

It has the capacity to be and it should be by rights due to resources but mismanagement of funds/ resources and poor international reputation has affected this and the reality is far different. An example, look at Nepa |
Re: Is Nigeria Really The Gaint Of Africa? by tunku(m): 3:03am On Jun 17, 2009 |
NEPA has been rebranded PHCN. That was about what two years ago? , the logical conclusion of Nigeria's rebranding is to change the name to "Not Nigeria" |

The Bare facts French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan once remarked that a mad man who believes to be a king is no more than a king who himself believes to be a king. This is precisely the problem with our Nigerians, or politicians in general. They actually believe that they are the best in leadership and therefore pretend to be such, begging the question whether one should believe in what they already know as a fact or in that which is uncertain. A good lesson in knowing and believing has always been shown at the family level when children are considered. It is said that the mother knows that the children are hers, but the father believes they are. But with the advent of DNA this may not hold true any more. Unfortunately, there is as yet no DNA test that can confirm to a politician or Nigerian populace that he or she is. TWO SUCH BELIEVERS OR PRETENDERS who have been in the limelight lately are former and current Nigerian politicians and the critical ego obsessive Nigerians who insists they are still relevant — Nigerians. We all saw it in the media the other day when members of vigilante groups in towns demonstrated round the towns killing and maiming each other senseless and burning there rival candidates effigy. Talk of being Giants when still living in the stone age era. For all the reasons we would accept that Nigerians are their own worst enemies regardless of intellectualism. Why? Having leaders who instead of running a country resort to drowning it? Please feel free not to reply Most welcome |
