Network Issues In Vista. by DoubleN(m): 8:29am On Jun 13, 2009
I have come across a problem that has left me puzzled for the last 2 days and i need some of you guys to see if you can come up with a solution.
I use Windows Vista and all of a sudden the blue globe that appears when you are connected to the internet does not show anymore!I connect my Starcomms Evdo USB device and it says connected and i have access to full internet capabilities meanwhile the network icon still show the 2 computers with the Red X and says 'You are currently not connected to any network' when i can actually browse.
This may sound like a non-issue but the problem is that Vista thinks i am not on the internet when i actually am and therefore certain functions cannot be carried out like internet sharing. i have searched on many computer forums but to no avail. I would really need some of our Gurus in-house to look up something for me.

Sorry man, this is a compatibility issue with vista, and some networking hardwares, I have come accross the issue before, I still have not found any solutions that can fully solve the issue, all i can say is that vista is not the best to use when it comes to networking. I would use XP, VISTA is just a total waste of time, or trying updated to service pack 1, i know they have fixed a lot of issues with it.
