Buhari and Jonathan are Vanguard’s personalities of the year 2015! How great does that sound? One of Nigeria’s top newspaper, Vanguard recently announced that President Buhari and his predecessor Dr. Goodluck Jonathan are their personalities of the year.

According to the newspaper, they both emerged their personalities of the year because of their persistence and strength of character.

“In particular, President Buhari was considered worthy because of his unrelenting political struggles which were reminiscent of a similar struggle by a former American President, Abraham Lincoln.” Vanguard said.

Jonathan’s strength of character after losing the presidential election made him worthy for this award.

“On his part, former President Jonathan was deemed worthy because he turned out to be a man in possession of a rare strength of character which is alien to Nigeria, by accepting his loss at the polls and conceding victory to Buhari.” the newspaper said
