This is absolute nonsense. What is a state government doing with the production of rice or production activities for that matter. A venture that may not be sustained or continued after the tenure of the governor. An activity which may be marred with fraud and waste. Therefore resulting to waste of funds. Why would a governor waste public funds for an activity that private businessmen should undertake.

Government should be bothered with essential services such as transportation, security, education, water, roads. Government must prioritize ventures it must undertake and channel scarce resources into it.

Someone should tell Obiano that he would have discussed with some businessmen from his state such as the Cosmas Madukas to invest in a rice mill and obtain concession and tax reliefs. Hence, the money used by the governor to build the rice mill would have been used for essential services.

This is just a pure waste of Anambra scarce resources.

My dear u ar saying this because u dnt know Anambra state very well nd it's great indigens. The brainBOSS behind this is Cosmas Mmaduka CEO Coscharis group, 5th richest man in Nigeria with support of Anambra state gov.

Very gud move by d governor, howeva I see so much hazards lurking aroundd (as wit so many industrialization goin on in Africa n nigeria) ranging from loose objects hanging to unkempt environment. De need to up dia facility to accepted QC n HSE standard. I am a qualified HSE personnel n av a team I work wit, we can be consulted / employed.
