Olamide And Don Jazzy Saga - A Disrespect To Nigeria Music Award. by Nigeriayouths20: 4:33pm On Jan 02, 2016
Nigerians, from what angle are we looking at what happened at Headies yesterday evening. It is a platform to award music stakeholder of their efforts not a platform for any record label/artist to show us how ready made they are. Can Don Jazzy walk out of Grammies? Can Olamide throw down the mic at BET Awards? Can Lil Kesh tell MTV award that he can make in 2 weeks the worth of their award? It is a total disrespect to our Music award in Nigeria because they won't mind sitting at Lil Wayne's foot at the Grammies if that will give them recognition. Our music industry made them, gave them the name and money so they should respect the industry.
Artist/producer will reign and go but the industry will live forever. So, respect Nigeria and Nigerians.
Our leaders prefers foreign banks, politicians prefer foreign securities, Our investors prefer foreign business opportunities, Our celebrities prefer foreign designer clothing, Student prefer foreign university, Interior decorator prefer foreign items, Artist/producer prefer foreign awards, even some homes prefer foreign vegetables, etc.
When are we going to start taking ourselves seriously?
