Nigeria Mikel Obi is without any doubt enjoying the game of football after the sack of Veteran Manager “Jose Morinho”. The Chelsea and Nigeria Midfielder have enjoyed more playing time since the arrival of New Chelsea Manager “Gus Hiddink”.

Maybe the player might not be totally wrong on his view of the Chelsea team after the ouster of Jose Morinho in December 2015. A professional display against Manchester United at Old Trafford and the Sensational performance against a Crystal Palace side Yesterday proves the Midfielder is out there to crate an impression of himself.

Mikel obi who have not had any real football encounter in the EPL this season has been pivotal to Chelsea recent form, though many would say it is too early to judge if there has been any improvement, but with the display against a Crystal Palace side that defeated Chelsea 2 goals to 1 at Stamford Bridge in August 2015, it will be fair to say the club is recovering fast.

Goals from Oscar, Willian and Diego Costa was enough to secure the Mikel Obi Chelsea side a comfortable 3-0 win at
Selhurst Park, “home ground of Crystal Palace”.

With Mikel Obi’s having more playing time at Chelsea, this might actually spell a change in fortune for both the player and the Nigeria Super Eagles. As one can only hope the player continue to impress at all level. For me at NAIJASCOREBOARD, MIKEL OBI is my Africa player of the week. All i can just hope for is that he gets better.
