n3xt: Nice work, Please i intend doing something similar to what you have here. Kindly help with the following information; 1. What is the thickness of the plate, angle rod and the pipe? 2. Please can you post the drawing with dimensions if you are ok with that? 3. Why not polish wood for the steps as in the picture? Thanks. 1 Like |

quoting vicol, (my response in quote box) Nice work, Please i intend doing something similar to what you have here. Kindly help with the following information; 1. What is the thickness of the plate, angle rod and the pipe?
2. Please can you post the drawing with dimensions if you are ok with that? I'll share later on this page. Check back here. I'll update this post shortly. 3. Why not polish wood for the steps as in the picture? Thanks. I'd love polish woods but I have my reservations for chosing marble finish over woods in this particular build because of the design requirements. |

@ vicol, Wood is to wrought iron mongery as Glass is to marble or stones. I'm using frameless glass balustrade for this build. Wooden flooring won't flow here. |

Roof Insulation? Yes! An airtight breathable membrane will be placed between the roofing sheet and the structure of this roof. This moisture resistant materials will serve a lot of purpose in this build. More discussion on Sound Insulation on NextHomeBuilds forum.

What's More? Cable Conveyance In modern builds, electrical wiring must get from one place to another. As we all know, wires and cables are normally pulled through conduit. However in complex situations/designs a different approach is adopted. Supporting and pulling wires on 26' high ceiling with over 120m2 unsupported ceiling can only be achieved using Cable Tray system. Installation of Cable trays and Tray supports upcoming. msogunro: Very possible. I have a staircase similar to this on this build. Even though I don't give it much attention like others. Made with concrete and steel |

Mr. n3xt hope your attaching the support bars to make for the risers just like in the orange shaded spots in your project picture below? Just observing in as much as your not yet through with the spiral job. Also why did you chose to use a base plate against fixing in concrete? #educationalpurpose

StainlessH: Points noted. Still a work in progress though. The baseplate has been installed as at this evening. The staircase wasn't installed directly to concrete. Thanks bro. 1 Like |
