I wonder what the essence of education is to our generation. After all we learn, is it to secure a job or gain prestige in the society?? I won't write naively, both securing a job and gaining prestige isn't a crime instead its the normal stuff but the question to ask is what's our essence??

I write to those in the social sciences. What do we stand to gain in accumulation of knowledge and watch problems we have solutions to eat the societies??

Is it fear or lack of courage??
For those in the social science arena, please answer this question.
