Hello!
By the grace of God I will be taking you through a series of teaching on the topic "SPIRITUAL STRENGTH" for the next few days. The text may be long, with many words and illustrations, but I encourage you to read all as you will be blessed tremendously in Jesus' name (amen). Now, let's get it started....

THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH- Ephesians 6:10-20.

Paul concludes his letter to the church at Ephesus with a very strong warning. Satan is actively struggling against God, and the things that have to do with God. If you have been born again through the new birth of life Jesus offers into the family of God, you are God's, and Satan is waging war against you. The devil focusses all his energies on shattering the unity of the church, corrupting the holy temple, persecuting and discouraging the beloved of God, and replacing light with darkness in the minds of God's people- Jn 10:10.

A vital part in warfare is knowing and understanding the enemy. Unless we know who the enemy is, where he is, and what he can do; we have a difficult time in defeating him. Throughout the entire Bible, God instructs us about the enemy, so there is no reason to be caught off guard. The enemy of God and believers has different names: devil/accuser (Rev 12:7-11), satan/adversary, tempter (Matt 4:3), murderer and liar (Jn 8:44). He is compared to a lion (1Pet 5:cool, a serpent (Gen 3:1, Rev 12:9), an angel of light (2Cor 11:13-15), as well as the god of this age (2Cor 4:4).

Many mysteries are connected with the origin of Satan, but what he is doing and where he is are certainly no mystery! What I know about Satan is that he is a created being, and not eternal (as God is), he is limited in knowledge and activity. Unlike God, Satan is NOT all-knowing (Omnipresent), all-powerful (Omnipotent) or everywhere present (Omnipresent). Then how does he accomplish so much in so many different parts of the world? The answer is in his organized helpers.

There is a definite army of demonic creatures that assist Satan in his attacks against believers. This army is very much constituted by one-third of the angels that fell with Satan when he rebelled against God (Rev 12:4, Dan 10:13-20). Paul called them principalities, powers, rulers, spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph 6:12). This is the army of demons Satan uses in his war against believers and the church.

A spiritual battle is going on in this world, and in the sphere of "the heavenlies", and you and I are part of the battle. A spiritual battle thus require spiritual strength. Knowing this makes "walking in victory" a virtually important thing to us- and to God. This battle is not against human beings. It is against spiritual powers. We are wasting our time fighting people when we ought to be fighting the devil who seeks to control people and make them oppose the work of God. For us to be victorious in this battle, we need strength from God (Eph 6:10). This strength is needed under all burdens, in all the conflicts and temptations of life, beneath its sorrows and its cares- strength of heart, strength of purpose, strength of will.

How then can we get this strength and make effective use of it?.....to be continued

THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH II

Eph 6:10 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might."

There is a good reason for our being so often advised in the Scriptures to "be strong". The Christian character of doing well is imposible if we are not strong. The forces of evil are many and mighty. Unless we are strong, we effect nothing. Our lives shall be mere bundles of resolves never effected, collections of impotent wishes and promises that never come to anything.

Paul exhorted believers to be strong in the Lord and in the might of God's strength. Hence, believers can be strengthened not only by the person of the Lord but also by His (God's) resources- Phil 4:13. Now, we take it one after the other. We look at how a believer can be strengthened by God's person before going to examine the resources God has put in place to provide strength and assurance of victory for His children.

"Be strong" in the Lord; our obedience to this command stands on the same footing as our obedience to God's other commandments; and if we continue to be weak, it's our fault, not God's. God is ever ready to reveal Himself as the great Giver of strength. The strength poured into us is strength in Christ, which springs up out of a realizing knowledge of the continued presence, love and help of the Redeemer- 2Cor 12:9. A soldier fights with greater confidence when he is led by a general who has always been successful- our God is a mighty man in battle, the Lord of hosts- Ps 24:8-10, Exo 15:3, the One who has never lost a battle and can never lose one. In Him, full assurance of victory is guaranteed, thus a Christian fights with greater resolution because Christ is the Captain of his salvation. The only battle a Christian is sure of winning is that which is led by Christ Himself, because with God on our side we are not fighting from defeat unto victory, rather we are fighting from victory unto victory. Christ has done ALL for us- Col 2:15, all we have to do is to tap into the already settled victory and claim it as ours- Psa 144:1-2.

The command "be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" implies a continous dependence upon the Lord. The strength is not given at once and in full measures, but according to the desire, the capacity, the faith, the need, the duty, the trial. Our lowest powers, those of the physical body, we get by growth, and they grow by exercise. The same law governs our spiritual being. The sense of weakness obliges us to appear everyday afresh to Him for fresh supplies- Psa 68:19. The strength of yesterday may not be enough for today's task, hence blessed is the man who renews his strength in the Lord at all times- Isa 40:31.

How can we get strength by the person of the Lord? How we can be strong in the Lord? It is first by simply acknowledging Him as the Captain of our salvation and knowing that with Him on our side, there is a great assurance of victory. We have to see our mere "human strength" as a high level of weakness which can take us nowhere. Thus, we have to see a great need for strength of God which enables us to do ALL things. The first thing Satan does in defeating a believer is blinding his eyes to this truth. The devil tries to frustrate and discourage believers from pressing forward, he makes you see yourself as powerless and makes you concede defeat even before the start of the battle. These are lies from the pit of hell. Satan's power are minute when compared to the power a child of God carries. Remember, just a simple "resist" will make the devil flee from you if you submit yourself to God- Jam 4:7. Greater is He that is in you than the devil, principalities, rulers of darkness, spiritual wickedness that are in the world- 1John 4:4. In Him we are more than conquerors. Therefore, the activation of strength in us comes from our realization of who God is and what we are in Christ, which propels us to wait on Him and Him only as the only One who makes His strength perfect in our own weakness- 2Cor 12:9.

Believers can also get spiritual strength from the resources of God. These are the things God has given to us for our possession, to wage war against the devil and his kingdom. Paul called them ARMOR- Eph 6:11...we will examine these in the next study by God's grace. God bless you.....(to be continued)

THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH III

Eph 6:11 "Put on the WHOLE armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil".

Christians have a spiritual warfare on earth (2Tim 4:7). They have to fight for God against the kingdom of darkness (1Sam 25:28), for truth (Jude 3), and for themselves (Rev 3:11). There are too many who like the name of Christian without its responsibility. These desire to be soldiers of Christ, but not on active service. The battle may be fiercer sometimes than at others, but to the end we must be fighting. Christians are soldiers, our life is a warfare, the church here is militant. God has thus disposed our state on earth for weighty reasons.

To be a Christian (soldier) on active service requires being armed with ALL tools provided by God's armoury. These are called THE DIVINE ARMOR. It is so called because God provides each individual part of it. It is amour for offence as well as for defense. We are not required to provide this Divine armor, but merely to put on, and its efficacy depends entirely upon the power of Him who made it.

The purpose of this armor can be found in the text above (Eph 6:11)..."That ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil". The grand enemy of the Church is the devil, a superhuman tempter older than man. The devil possesses immense resources of cunning and craft, he has the power to inject evil into the minds of the saints, with his great end to destroy the souls of men and the whole moral order of the world. This shows why we need to resist his wiles in the strength of the Divine armor.

Our conflict is not with feeble man. It is with fallen spirits. These spirits have a hierarchy of their own of different orders, and their activity is exercised in the world of men under a reign of darkness, their moral character is wickedness. The Bible calls Satan "the prince of the power of the air"- these spirits seem to have their abode or the scene of their activity in the atmosphere that surrounds our earth. We need, therefore, to be strong and valiant in this warfare, because
*we are fighting for our life;
*though our enemies be strong, our Captain is stronger still;
*because nothing but cowardice can lose the victory (Jam 4:7)
*if we conquer, we shall ride triumphantly into heaven (2Tim 4:7-cool

What is the nature of the Christian armor? It is armor for every part, except the back, which is provided with no defence, to show that the Christian is never to quit the field, but to face his enemies. The armor is of every sort, offensive and defensive, both to protect the Christian, and to annoy his enemies. This armor is spiritual, and it is intended only for spiritual purposes. It is "armor of righteousness", designed only for righteous persons and righteous purposes; it cannot therefore be used for acts of violence and oppression. It is provided by a righteous God, and His righteous word is the rule for using it- Rom 13:12, 2Cor 6:7.

We are in a state of warfare, exposed to innumerable enemies, and if not called to fight, we should not need to be armed. We need to put on the armor of God because we are naturally unprepared for this contest, having no means of defence. We must be equipped from God's armoury, for no weapon of our own will be able to defend us. Putting on this armor implies that we see our need of it, and that we use it for the purposes intended. The divine armor is not designed for show, but for use, and therefore it must be put on. We must be careful to take to ourselves the "whole" armor of God, for a part of it will not avail. Such is the variety of Satan's temptations and the world's allurement that the whole of it is but sufficient for our defence.

In our next study, we will be examining each individual part of the Divine armor, and how we can make effective use of them. God bless you.... (To be continued)

THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH IV

The divine armor is the grace of the gospel. It is a whole or perfect armor, sufficient to defend us in every part. The use to be made of this armor is that we may be able to withstand and face the enemy. The armor is not for decoration, but to be used, and it can only be used effectively by genuinely born-again children of God. What are the Divine resources God has given us to constitute the Divine armor:

(A) THE BELT OF TRUTH

Eph. 6:14a "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth..."

Before a Roman soldier put on the armor, he put a belt around his waist. This held his garment together and served as a place on which to hang his armor. The belt, is therefore, a very important part of the military regalia- that on which the armor depends on for fitness. Paul, by observing the Roman soldier, saw the belt of truth as a very important part of the Christian armor.

As the belt kept the armor in its proper place, giving strength and buoyancy of action, so truth acts in relation to righteousness, faith and peace. If truth were wanting, there could be none of these things, and nothing Christ-like or noble. As a soldier's belt gave ease and freedom of movement, so truth gives freedom with self, others and God.

The truth here refers not to the truth of the doctrine or facts of the gospel, nor even sincerity in the sense of truthfulness; but it means subjective truth- a believer's integrity and faithfulness. It refers to the truth subjectively apprehended, that is, the knowledge and belief of the truth. It is the conscious grasp of the truth which gives a Christian boundless confidence in his conflict with evil. Error dissolves strength and unnerves for the great fight with sin. Truth is our proper girdle, because we fight for a God of truth (Tit. 1:2), and against satan the father of lies (Jn 8:44). Without truth, we are weak and heartless.

(B) THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Eph. 6:14b "...and having on the breastplate of righteousness"

The Roman soldier wore the breastplate to protect his heart, the center of physical life. The breastplate of the Christian is here called "the righteousness" (see Isa 59:17). The breastplate of righteousness refers not to justification, obtained at conversion (Rom. 3:24, 4:5), but to the sanctifying righteousness of Christ (1Cor 1:30) practiced in a believer's life. It is the righteousness which Apostle Paul desired for himself- "the righteousness of God by faith" (Phil. 3:8-9). It is emphatically "the righteousness", so perfect that it satisfied every demand of Law, and is perfectly proof against all assaults from within or from without. Let us not show the bare breast of our righteousness to the tempter, but rather the righteousness of God Himself, impacted to us and received by faith. As a soldier's breastplate protected his chest from an enemy's attacks, so sanctifying, righteous living guards a believer's heart against the assaults of the devil. If you have this breatsplate of righteousness, you are sure of ultimate triumph (Rom. 8:31-32)......... (to be continued)

THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH V

(C) FEET FITTED WITH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE

Eph. 6:15 "And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace"

The feet have to be armed as with military sandals, and the sandal is the Gospel of peace- the good news that we are at peace with God (Rom. 5:1; 8:31). The Roman soldier wore sandals with hobnails in the soles to give him better footing for the battle, the sandal was furnished with nails that gripped the ground firmly, even when it was sloping or slippery. If we are going to "stand" and "withstand", then we need the shoes of the Gospel. The feet fitted with the Gospel of peace refers to a believers's stability or surefootedness from the Gospel which gives him peace so that he can stand in the battle. We must be at peace with God and with each other if we are to defeat the devil (Jam. 4:1-7). Satan has declared war, but you and I are ambassadors of peace (2Cor 5:18-21), and as such, we take the Gospel of peace wherever we go.

(D) THE SHIELD OF FAITH

Eph. 6: 16 "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked".

The shield was large, made of wood, and covered with tough leather. As the soldier held it before him, it protected him from spears, arrows, and "fiery darts". Faith, in its wildest sense, constitutes this shield. The "faith" mentioned here is not saving faith, but rather living faith, a trust in the promises and the power of God. Faith in God as our Father, in Christ as our Redeemer, in the Spirit as our Sanctifier and Strengthener, faith in all the promises help us to quench the fiery darts of the evil one. "Fiery darts" were weapons tipped with inflammable materials, fire brands, curiously constructed, adapted to set on fire. Considerations darted into the mind by the tempter inflame lust, pride, revenge, evil feelings etc. That such considerations sometimes start up suddenly in the mind, against the deliberate desire, sometimes even in the middle of holy exercises, is the painful experience of every Christian, and must make him thankful for the shield on which they are quenched. An act of faith in Christ, placing the soul consciously in His presence, recalling his atoning love and grace, and the promises of the Spirit, will extinguish these fiery temptations. Therefore, a Christian's resolute faith in the Lord can stop and extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one aimed at him.

Faith is a defensive weapon which protects us from Satan's fiery darts. We never know when Satan will shoot a dart at us, so we must always walk by faith and use the shield of faith. We maintain a confident hope in the reality and power of God. This trust extinguishes doubt. We are inadequate in ourselves, but our trust is in God Who "is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work in us" (Eph. 3:20).

THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH VI

(E) THE HELMET OF SALVATION

Eph. 6:17a "And take the helmet of salvation..."

Psalm 140:7 "O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou has covered my head in the day of battle"

The helmet is the head-covering. In 1Thess. 5:8, we read, "putting on for an helmet for the hope of salvation". The glorious truth that we are saved (Eph. 2:5,cool, appropriated, rested on, rejoiced in, will protect even so vital a part as the head, and will keep us from intellectual surrender and rationalistic doubt. A helmet, being hot and uncomfortable, would be put on by a soldier only when he faced impending danger. Having one's head guarded by a helmet gives a sense of safety, so the helmet of salvation refers either to present safety from the devil's attack or to a future deliverance.

Satan wants to attack the mind, the way he defeated Eve (Gen. 3; 2Cor. 11:1-3). The helmet also refers to the mind controlled by God. It is too bad that many Christians have the idea that the intellect is not important, when in reality it plays a vital role in Christian growth, service, and victory. When God controls the mind, Satan cannot lead the believer astray. The Christian who studies his Bible and learns the meaning of Bible doctrines is not going to be led astray too easily. We need to be "taught in Him as the truth is in Jesus" (Eph. 4:21). We are to "grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ" (2Pet. 3:18). Salvation has brought us a new life and identity. By keeping our identity as Christ's living constantly before us, our perception of life is transformed. Satan's dreams of distorted relationships cannot cloud the mind of a person who grasps the full meaning of the salvation we enjoy in Christ.

(F) THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT

Eph. 6:17b "...and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God"

Finally, a Roman soldier would take in hand his sword, his only offensive weapon. "The sword" Paul described in that text above has its source as "the Spirit", hence it is "the sword given (supplied) by the Spirit". "The sword of the Spirit" is specified as the Word of God, the Word inspired by Him, and employed by the Spirit; for He enlightens us to know it, applies it to us, and teaches us to use it both defensively and offensively. "Word" refers to the preached Word or an utterance of God occasioned by the Holy Spirit in the heart. Believers need this "sword" to combat the enemy's assault, much as Christ did three times when tempted by the devil (Matt. 4:1-11).

Heb. 4:12 compares the Word of God to a sword, because it is sharp and is able to pierce the inner man just as a material sword pierces the body. You and I were "cut in the heart" (Acts 2:37; 5:33) when the Word convicted us of our sins. Peter tried to use a sword to defend Jesus in the Garden (Lk. 22:47-51), but he learned at Pentecost that the "sword of the Spirit" does a much better job. A material sword pierces the body, but the Word of God pierces the heart. The more you use a material sword, the duffer it becomes; but using God's Word only makes it sharper in our lives. A physical sword requires the hand of a soldier, but the sword of the Spirit has its own power, for it is "living and powerful" (Heb. 4:12). When we use the sword against Satan, we are out to deal him a blow that will cripple him and keep him from hindering God's work.

When He was tempted by Satan in the wilderness, Christ used the sword of the Spirit and defeated the enemy. Three times Jesus said, "It is written" (Lk. 4:1-13; Matt. 4:1-11). Note that Satan can also quote the Word (Lk. 4:10), but he does not quote it completely. Satan tries to use the Word of God to confuse us, so it is important that we know every Word that God has given us. The better you know the Word of God, the easier it will be for you to detect Satan's lies and reject his offers.
---------------------------------------------

In one sense, "the whole armor of God" is a picture of Jesus Christ. Christ is the Truth (Jn. 14:6), and He is our righteousness (2Cor. 5:21) and our peace (Eph. 2:14). His faithfulness makes possible our faith (Gal. 2:20); and He is the Word of God (Jn. 1:1, 14). This means that when we trusted Christ, we received the armor. Paul told the Romans what to do with the armor (Rom. 13:11-14): wake up (Rom. 13:11), cast off sin, and "put on the armor the light" (Rom. 13:12). We do this by putting "on the Lord Jesus Christ" (Rom. 13:14). By faith, put on the armor and trust God for the victory. Once and for all, we have put on the armor at the moment of salvation, but there must be a daily appropriation. We are never to reach out of Satan's devices, so we must never be without the whole armor of God.

(The last part of the teaching will be put up tomorrow by God's grace. God bless you).

THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH VII

THE ENERGY/DRIVING FORCE

Eph. 6:18 "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

Prayer is the energy that enables the Christian soldier to wear the armor and wield the sword. We cannot fight the battle in our own power, no matter how strong or talented we may think we are. It took both Moses' intercession on the mountain, and Joshua's use of the sword in the valley to defeat the Amalek. Prayer is the power of victory, but not just any kind of prayer. From the text above, Paul tells us how to pray if we would defeat Satan:

*Pray always- this obviously does not mean "always saying prayers". We are not heard for "much speaking" (Matt. 6:7). "Pray without ceasing" (1Thess. 5:17) says to us to always be in communion with the Lord. A Christian must "pray always" because he is always subject to temptations and attacks of the devil. A surprise attack has defeated more than one believer who forgot "to pray without ceasing".

*Pray with all prayer- there is more than one kind of praying: prayer, supplication, intercession, thanksgiving (Phil. 4:6; 1Tim. 2:1). The believer who prays only to ask for things is missing out on blessings that come with intercessions and giving of thanks. In fact, thanksgiving is a great weapon for defeating Satan, because "praise changes things" as much as "prayer changes things". Intercession for others can bring victory to our own lives (Job 42:10).

*Pray in the Spirit- the Bible teaches us that we pray to the Father, through the Son, and in the Spirit. Only in the Spirit's power can we pray in the will of God (Rom. 8:26-27). Otherwise, our praying could be selfish and out of the will of God. Prayer is to be mixed according to God's plan and not to be counterfeited by man. The Holy Spirit takes our prayers and "ignites" them in the will of God. It is possible to pray fervently in the flesh and never get through to God. It is also possible to pray quietly in the Spirit and see God's hand do great things.

*Pray with your eyes open: watching means "keeping on the alert". The phrase "watch and pray" occurs often in the Bible. Nehemiah defeated the enemy who tried to stop the work of rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem by watching and praying (Neh. 4:9). "Watch and pray" is the secret of victory over the world (Mk. 13:33), the flesh (Mk. 14:38), and the devil (Eph. 6:18). God expects us to use our God-given senses, led by the Spirit, so that we can detect Satan when he is beginning to work.

*Keep on praying- the word "perseverance" means to stick to it and not quit. We should always pray this ways, just as the early believers did (Acts 1:14; 2:42; 6:4). Perseverance in the place of prayer means we are deeply concerned and burdened and cannot rest until we get God's answer. Not everybody is so constituted that he can sincerely spend a whole night in prayer, but all of us can persevere far more than we do (Read Acts 2:1-19). Keep on praying until the Spirit stops you or the Father answers you. Just about the time you feel like quitting, God will give the answer.

*Pray for all saints- the Lord's prayer begins with "Our Father"- not "My Father" (Matt. 6:9). We pray as part of a great family that is also talking to God, and we ought to pray for others members of the family. If my prayers help another believer defeat Satan, then that victory will help me too.

THE ENCOURAGEMENT (Eph. 6:21-24)

Finally, we should always have it at the back of our minds that we are not fighting the battle alone. There are other believers who stand with us in the fight, and we ought to be careful to encourage one another. What an encouragement it is to be a part of the family of God, there is nothing like an "isolated believer". Christians are like sheep, they flock together. The church is an army and the soldiers need to stand together and fight together. No matter what our circumstances may be, in Jesus Christ we are "blessed with all spiritual blessings"! (Eph. 1:3).

PRAYER POINT: Father, I acknowledge my human strength can take me nowhere in the journey of the spirit. I see a need for a supernatural strength that comes from You by the Spirit. I hereby release and surrender myself to be empowered by the Holy Spirit, and to be equipped with the Divine armor provided by You in Christ Jesus. I refuse to be a weak Christian, strengthen my weakness, make me strong, help me to always abide in Your presence to renew my strength at all times, destroy the works of the devil in my life, and make me victorious in all spheres of life in Jesus' name. Amen.
......................................................
I bless and thank God for seeing us through the series of teaching on "Spiritual strength". I believe you have been greatly blessed by these words that hit your screen for some days. True blessings of the Word come from correct application of the Word to our lives. Therefore, I enjoin you not to just stop at the level of following this teaching, but go a step further by applying everything the Spirit has taught you to your life. The importance of Spiritual strength in the life of a Christian cannot be over-emphasized. Zechariah 4:6-7 teaches us that "mountains become plain" not by human power or might, but by the Spirit of the Lord; that is, the strength that the Spirit of the Lord supplies. This has been made available to us by grace. Resolve to be a vibrant soldier of Christ whose level of commitment will not be disturbed by sheer weekness of the spirit and body. Tap into the everlasting grace of God's readiness to grant you strength- get strength from the person of the Lord God, renew the strength always by abiding in His presence, and always put on the whole armor He has provided to defeat the devil and his wiles, pray without ceasing. I see God helping you and keeping you by His power, strengthening your weakness, and making you victorious in all spheres of life in Jesus' name. Do not forget we are fighting from victory unto victory, Christ has perfected our victory in Him, He was made manifest so the works of the devil might be destroyed (1Jn. 3:cool, and He is ever ready to do all we ask according to that power (of victory) that works in us (Eph. 3:20). Therefore, we have nothing to fear, He has given us the spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind (2Tim. 1:7). Go in this might and strength, profess your victory in Christ, "walk" in the power of Spiritual strength, and be a terror to the kingdom of darkness. Enjoy grace!

Let me conclude by giving you an excerpt from EW Kenyon's book- "The New Type of Christianity":

"The new creation is equipped of God for a supernatural life. Our combat is not a mental one, nor a physical one. It is a spiritual combat. No spiritual combat is fought by physical self-denial or mental struggle. A spiritual battle is not won by physical or mental means, or any kind of work that a man can do. The battle has already been fought by Jesus and won. This is a fight of Faith. We win our battle by our recognition that it has already been fought and won by Jesus and by accepting the thing that Jesus has done for us. We do not pray for it. We do not struggle for it. In the Faith fight, God does it all. We stand in the evil day when the temptations come like a flood, having girded our loins with this Truth or Reality- Jn. 8:32,36. We have come to the reality of the breastplate of righteousness; that is, we act it, we use it, and we confess it. We know that we are the righteousness of God in Christ. Our feet have been shod with the preparation of the good tidings of peace. We can now run with the message of peace to the world. We have the shield of faith that withstands all the fiery darts of the evil one. We take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. In our lips is the Word of God. With that world, we conquer illness, diseases, demons. We are masters, He made us to rule just as He did in this earth. We are equipped by God and with God. We have the name of Jesus, and all the authority of Heaven is back of it and is invested in it. We have the power of attorney to use that name. The Holy Spirit Who raised Jesus from the dead is dwelling in us. We have the same ability that was wrought in Jesus in His earth walk in within us. Our equipment is spiritual, and spiritual things are mightier than physical. Wars are created by demons, carried on by demon inspiration, but the Church is the master of demons (1Jn. 4:4). Demons cannot rule the world without our consent. The mighty Holy Spirit, Who renewed the face of the earth, Who healed the sick and raised the dead, is the same Holy Spirit that we have today. He has lost none of His ability (1Cor.1:30). This is what Eternal Life does in us. Let us tell it to the world." Halleluyah!
