Gunmen on Thursday attacked a hotel in Egypt Capital City of Cairo as tourist were boarding a bus parked at the front of the hotel, The Interior Ministry said adding that no one was hurt during the attack

Thursday’s attack took place outside the Three Pyramids Hotel which is situated on a road leading to the famous Giza pyramids, the ministry said in a statement carried by Associated Press news agency.

Meanwhile, a suspect has been arrested from the group of attackers who numbered up to 15. They threw flares at the hotel's security post and damaged both the hotels facade and the bus during the attack.

“The first thing they fired was flares, and then they started firing at the bus. Later they started firing birdshot at the hotel and tried to throw Molotov cocktails at the bus,” said Jaber Jabarin, an Arab Israeli citizen who was staying at the hotel and witnessed the attack.

There motive of attack haven't been ascertained yet and no one has claimed responsibility for the attack. A spokesperson for the Israel's Foreign Ministry said the bus that was damaged was been used to carry a group of visiting Arab Israelis but no one was inside when they attacked
