Hello everyone, I am Bruce from a Chinese semi-trailer manufacturer. Now I am researching Nigeria trailer market.

I know that the 40 foot flatbed trailers are common in Nigeria, are the following trailers popular in Nigeria, too?

Sidewall trailer, Stake trailer, Cement trailer, as the photos show below,

The first photo is sidewall trailer, the second is stake trailer, and third is cement trailer.

Or do they have different names in Nigeria?

Yes, these trailers are certainly found in Nigeria. The flatbeds are quite common though.
Logistics and construction companies should be your target. You will require good marketing strategies too.

I am thinking of the marketing strategies. Several friends from Nigeria advice me ship several trailer samples to Nigeria, they say that Nigerian buy what they see. But the trailers are too expensive, the company does not agree to give samples to Nigerian companies for free.

I am just searching Nigeria haulage companies and sending them emails and make them calls. Thank you for your advice, I will try to find construction companies and contact them.

I know the stake trailers are used by brewery companies to transport their products.
One of the biggest here is Nigeria Breweries Plc.

About sending samples, this is quite true. But seeing how costly (financial and time wise) this could be, video presentations can help out.

I'm not sure what specific names they are called here. "Trailers" are the general term used for them. Pictures will serve to explain the specific trailer you are referring to when you try to contact potential buyers.

We have all these trailers present in Nigeria... I deal on Trucks so they are common sights to me... About the first one, trucks used by the european army are purchased and used for that purpose, for the second one, local companies like IPI build such body frames and attach to awaiting trailer heads while the cement truck is very common in Nigeria...
