APGA, the alleged Igbo party was dumped and left to crumble. Ojukwu had died. The new Igbo party was PDP. The plan was going well. Jonathan would win election and our brothers would continue chopping on our behalf.

The Grand plan was for 2017. Oil blocks allocations would expire in 2017 and there would be fresh allocations. Boys were positioning themselves for the greatest cake. Dasuki released 500M to Jim for igbo elders. They did a perfect job. In churches Buhari was branded antichrist and antichristians whose ambitions were to islamize the east and persecute Christians. Prayer points were raised and brethren fasted against his emergence . Jonathan was sent by God and only his emergence would save the church. Brethren spoke in tongue and prophesied. Anyone who ever prophesied anything contrary to Jonathan winning was branded antichrist and anti Igbo. Jonathan was igbo, our brother. Ndi Hausa hate us so much. Buhari wrote Ohaneze severally to pay them a visit. No one as much as acknowledged his letter not to talk of inviting him. What's the point? Our son is running and he's gonna win anyways. He has joined the "Islamic" party.

Finally. Who's the fool here? Igbo youths! Y'all put your businesses on the line. You were ready to go to war in lagos. You risked your families and livelihood for these men. They lied to you and you believed them. They now use you the way northern elders use their youths. They call you out at will and endanger your lives. They tell you it's because of the igbo. Did they do our roads? Nope. Did they provide infrastructure? Did they create more jobs to employ our teeming qualified graduates? Did they improve our schools? They did nothing. Thought provoking if you ask me. The op succinctly captured the over all political shallowness that besieged the entire igbo people. On the contrary, the youths rather than their leaders should be blamed for the inability to properly dissect, analyse and assimilate the day to day Nigeria politics.

Anything that suits their emotions and fantasy at the moment is always a welcome idea. And one begins to wonder why they never learn from history. Political history of the past always plays prank on the Igbo nation who from every indication lack political calculation on where to pitch their tent.

Hope they will learn, and I am concern if they can recover after the role of a misguided partisan mixed with tribal clannishness against the ruling party. This is food for thought.

it's not abt igbos being clannish its abt illiteracy and sm1 being gullible, dont ne surprised if despite the fact that majority of igbos are presently against Buhari, b4 2019 they might become his biggest supporter supporting him even more than his northern brothers.
I am an Igbo guy from Imo, before the election most of the pdp supporters presently most are in the Ipob, if u ask them why they are not supporting Buhari u wud hear, he wants to Islamize Nigeria.. am like what da fvck, Islamize Nigeria how?... so people can be dz gullible in the 21st century, but thank God all has past, politics is not a brother-brother thing is abt interest, if everybody starts doing politics based on tribalism, the North would rule forever.

Hmm, na wah. This is all true. But, what can one say? Unfortunately, the situation is NOT likely to change anytime soon, given the antecedents and history underlying the whole thing. Or no?

However, here's a genuine wish to The Almighty God for our brethren of the states in the South East to find political salvation in the best and quickest way possible - and sustainable. It shall be to the advantage of the nation as a whole, just as other forms of societal instabilities in other regions also end up having a bearing on the well being of the East.
