Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) has said since President Buhari won the election, he is duty-bound to ensure that all organs and agents of government respect the law. Falana disclosed this on Sunday in a statement which stated in parts: “One of the reasons why Nigerians voted for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), during the last general elections was his promise to fight corruption and end impunity in the country.

Upon winning the election, President Buhari further pledged to abide by the Rule of Law. To that extent, he has a duty to ensure that all organs and officials of the government operate within the ambit of the law. In particular, he should not allow overzealous security personnel to engage in any form of impunity and thereby expose the government to unwarranted embarrassment.”

On the case of Dasuki, Falana said, “He was eventually charged with money laundering and criminal diversion of huge sums of public fund before the Federal High Court and the Federal Capital Territory High Court at Abuja. Notwithstanding the gravity of the offences, both courts have admitted him to bail. But after he had met the bail conditions, the DSS decided to re-arrest him at the gate of Kuje prisons on the ground that investigations have not been concluded in respect of other criminal allegations.”

Noise.

There is the rule of laws, and then there is Kanu and his twin brother Dasuki.

Once upon a time, both men claimed they were greater and bigger than the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and so the laws that Governs the Federal Republic Of Nigeria Cannot be used to remove them from Prison.

When the laws that applies to them is enacted/created/passed, we can then now revisit their individual cases. Meanwhile, they should continue to relax in their 5 Star hotel rooms in the Prison.

Our Prison system was not made for Goats, it was made for Humans and as far as i can tell, Kanu and Dasuki are humans.

Meanwhile, Falana should know what a treasonable felony is, especially as it regards to the direct threat to the National Security of a Country, any Country. I know what this means, and i use to come 29 out of 30(result wise) in my Class in the Secondary, so an intelligent man like him should know this rules.

Let them stay in Prison.

This is a pure law matter. As an engineer, I may not really be on point.
