Recent DNA testing on African Americans has proven Bishop TD Jakes to be Igbo. Thomas Dexter “T. D.” Jakes, Sr. (born June 9, 1957) is an American pastor, author and filmmaker.

He is the bishop of The Potter’s House, a non-denominational American megachurch, with 30,000 members.

T. D. Jakes’ church services and evangelistic sermons are broadcast on The Potter’s Touch, which airs on Lightsource.com, the Trinity Broadcasting Network,Black Entertainment Television, the Daystar Television Network, The Word Network and The Miracle Channel in Canada.

I heard him say it himself. He said he traced his ancestry, but am hearing about DNA here. He even referenced his dystermer (gap teeth) as a common denominator amongst the Igbos. And his business sense. These are the things he mentioned.
