Try nurseplusuk.com I messaged them asking if they can employ a nurse from Nigeria and their response was that I need to have a valid UK visa.

That's a positive response.
Some employers would even require that you be resident in-country before you apply

Yes. Maybe to stop the brain-drain and impending health-sector collapse resulting from massive economic migration from developing countries.
The rule only applies to health sector workers in developing countries. If you are a Nigerian nurse in France or the Caribbean you can apply to NHS

Please house, how possible is it for a Nigerian nurse to secure a job in USA with a proper hospital instead using agencies. Has anyone tried or know somebody who successfully migrated as a nurse via that route.

vickyehi Anyways I pray all those trying to Migrate from one place to another finds favour in all our applications.

Before I left naija, I vowed to myself that I wont be one of those "aunty wey mumu" that you would ask how she migrated and she would tell you ....."it was just prayer and grace of God, I dint even know what happened".....mtchewwwww.

I told myself that I may not have cash to distribute but along my journey I found out that knowledge is power and indeed many Nigerians perish for lack of knowledge.

I also said I wont be one of those people telling you that abroad na just suffer. Yes you would work hard and frankly you would be payed as hard as you work. What you safe from that depends on your responsibilities back home and your life style.

All those aunties and uncles shouting that USA or Canada or even the UK is hard, have you ever seen them return back home to save their self the so called hardship?

People that return back to Nigeria either have "surname", have made it big and want to invest in a business or the country dey pursue them.

So my people dont be discouraged. Speaking for Canada, it's better to work here as a health care aide or even janitor than to be in that catholic hospital or federal hospital self in naija. That's as far as income is concerned.

Thank you for this kiss kiss

How do I go about becoming a nursing aide or a healthcare assistant with my bsc biochemistry?

Good afternoon everyone, please how true is this information below, in regards to NHS and foreign trained nurses?

Hello Nurses,

Please find below update from most of the NHS employers:

Organisations recruiting healthcare professionals to the UK should still be following the UK Code of Practice for international recruitment during this unprecedented time.

What is NHS code of conduct? The NHS code of conduct was put together in 2004. It outline that Developing countries should not be targeted for recruitment.

This means you cannot advertise, promote or target nurses from developing countries or countries which accepts healthcare allowances from WHO.

India & Philippine are also included in the list but UK government signed special agreement with India & Philippine to recruit nurses.

We were allowed to accept applications if someone contact us directly either through email, phone or our website and we have been doing that over the years.

But in recent week we had an email from our NHS partners who told us not to recruit nurses from developing countries. This also applies for India or Philippine nurses working in developing countries too.

The Covid situation has brought abou drastic changes in the industry and as almost every country realised the importance of healthcare staff in recent days.

NHS employers at the moment don't want to recruit nurses from developing countries through third party.
The active recruitment of healthcare staff from developing countries is prohibited, while recruitment agencies should not be supplying any staff from the developing countries list.

NHS Employers may consider unsolicited applications direct from an individual in a developing country if that individual is making an application directly to the hospital and not using a third party.

Due to this development, we have decided not to accept applications until further notice. You may please look around for other options. The only option I can see ahead is get a job in a Care Home/Private hospital.

Wishing you all the very best. Thank you.

This is the present reality.

But there is a legal way around this covid hitch

pls someone should pls answer this question .
am having a similar problem

i used 1999 for my NMCN reg, but i have 1994 on my waec certificate smiley

now am planning on going for passport using 1999 as my dob

i don't know if there would be any consequences to this

This type of inconsistencies can cost you a lot in climes were integrity is held in high regards.

Please regularize all your data to be uniform in all your documents.

Hello house,
Please I need your advice. My fiance is a graduate of nursing from a university in Cotonou where the course is not accredited by Nigerian authorities.
She just recently completed NYSC. I am about emigrating to Canada but want to get her licensed as a Canadian nurse to practice in Canada. I don't intend for her to do adaptation in Nigeria as I want to move next year with her. What is the process.
1. How do I get her nursing degree from Cotonou evaluated
2. What is the process of becoming a nurse in Canada in a province of Manitoba
3. How long does the process take
4. How much is likely cost

Urgent responses appreciated

Except you come to Canada first before switching to those courses, it will be hard to get a visa for them.
