zeb04: My Whatsapp is there. Chat me up, I will send your details to the agency and once they give go ahead, I will communicate you. Hope you have Bachelor's degree ( least) or higher? More so, Nigerians must learn to respect contracts( job) generally as some USA agencies do complain about Nigerians. It is well. Goodluck 1 Like 1 Share |

sharone21: Please i have a sister that graduated with HND in Science Laboratory with over 3years experience as medical laboratory technician, is it possible for switch over, if yes please, what's the best way to go about it? Thanks |
Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by sharone21(f): 1:33pm On Mar 09, 2021 |
Yomite22: To make things easy for the agency, see below. THANKS..... (I don't think with HND one can join MLS body as a professional MLScientist, rather as a Technician( correct me if I'm wrong). In Cameroon even if you join the body, you are like a Technician under that body). Only Nursing qualifies with RN/HND for immigration. Name Middle Name Surname: Name of institution/s graduated from? Type eg BSc, MSc, PhD. Have you done your internship! Do you already have your MLS license? Do you have 2years work experience as a GENERALIST? Have you written IELTS exam? Do you have your international passport? Note: 1) You may still fill a more detailed form 2)You may need to get POLICE REPORT later 3) They will help prepare you for USA's board certifications and will let you know 4)Bachelor's degree or higher is needed. Cameroon has 1 year top up BSc Medical Laboratory Science if you have only HND. You can get the license of Cameroon. For this, you need to join the body as a student member then later as a full member. If you want to get the license of Nigeria( getting Cameroonian license first could make this easier, you may be asked to submit record of courses done in Cameroonian institution). You will contact the Nigerian MLS body IF YOU WISH TO GET NIGERIAN MLS license on or before the start of your BSc course in Cameroon to intimate them and to know the outcome. At worst, it is to follow the Cameroonian route meaning you will do your internship+ 2 years work experience as a GENERALIST in a hospital or laboratory IN CAMEROON. Note, whether Nigeria or Cameroon, let it be in a big hospital or laboratory whether you are paid or not. Information on MLS body in Cameroon and institution for BSc in Cameroon is/are available. *FREE SERVICE 2 Likes |

Please my friends, brothers and sisters, of a truth, as of last year, all nursing programs from Cameron are not accepted in any US board of Nursing. Please let us be guided and I think this platform is to help and guide one another. And Nursing profession as I know though I'm not a nurse can't be gotten in 1 year. Thank you. |

Thank you.[/quote] WELCOME TO CNA-UK We are a group of health care professionals comprising of nurses, midwives, and health visitors from Cameroon living and working in the UK. We exist to support ourselves and aim to promote excellence within our Profession and equality within the UK and Cameroon. Please, join to support our vision. Our Mission We aim to work creatively & proactively to support Cameroonian Nurses, Midwives & Health Visitors working & living in the UK, professionally, socially and when the need arises, to assists with health-related issues both in Cameroon & the UK. Our Mission is to provide a forum for collective action by CNA-UK Members. Due to COVID-19, all CNA-UK meetings and face to face events have been suspended and now held via Zoom until further notice. View Dates Nigeria/ns know LITTLE about Cameroon- educationally, socially etc even when they are supposed to be our closest brother ( from the backyard) maybe because both governments dont interact as often as that of Ghana and the liked. It is unfortunate that someone who is NOT yet in the Nursing procession ( at least as a student) and who might have not left the shores of Nigeria to USA or at least Cameroon, will think he/she is doing a service of 'enlightening' others when he/she is deficient of proper exposure to knowledge of this kind. If you say the 2 bodies ie Nigerian Nursing body and Cameroon Nursing body are not in sync and do not collaborate with each other, I can even understand. This does not mean any of their educational system is bad even when a Nigerian cannot readily practice as a Nurse in Cameroon or Cameroon qualification holder practicing in Nigeria( see 1st paragraph on this as well). I'm sure in your mind, it is only Nigerians that can practice abroad with its qualifications? This is why some people hoard knowledge they can share in the group to help others due to attitudes like this. Same attitudes they display abroad, that amazes their employers and refuse to sign contracts at times with Nigerians who have education without morals. FYI, countries like UAE, USA, UK will first choose a Cameroonian with his qualification over a Nigerian because selecting a Nigerian, comes with a lot of baggages. So those who have travelled with their HND Nursing from Cameroonian institutions ( with a government backed up certificate+ BSc from accredited government institutions under which ALL accredited private institutions are under) will not get jobs abroad? Continue to nurse this giant of Africa/better than others feeling, while the world and all those so called smaller countries leave your type with 19 the century mentality..... I know your type, una full fbk. 1 Like

Juddy2018: If you have facts to back up your claim, pls include proof of that before you "shame" an entire country. BTW.....I believe the 1 year nursing program is a post licensure program. Anyways In USA you can go from RN to BSN in less than a year if you so please (Western Governor University).I technically completed my RN to BSN in about 12mths. It was intensive but it is possible. |

Yomite22: Usually I think that is the course's name @ HND level in Nigeria and I think to do a BSc program in Nigeria, you need to go back to year 2( same as RN Nursing for BSc Nursing) and do 4 years to get its 5 years degree course. Cameroon will look at your courses and once okay, can still give the 1 year top up. The worst case scenario is to admit at HND final where writing the government set final exam is compulsory, then proceed to BSc meaning 2 years in this case. Which body/association is the person under presently? |

Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by DeeOneBangin: 6:32pm On Mar 11, 2021 |
DELSEY: In as much as you may or may not be correct, i believe whatever that is published on the uk government website carries the most weight. Yes the law may have been in place few years back, but this seems like an UPDATED rule that was just published few weeks ago. And it’s targeted at both EMPLOYERS AND RECRUITMENT AGENCIES. Like I said, you may be right. I am opened to corrections.
