Many thanks for this reply @MamaTheMama Really appreciate this.

Sis has gotten her IELTS UKVI result with an overall score of 7.0. The conditional offer of employment she got states she needs overall score of 7.0. However, she has 6.0 in writing. Can anyone advise if this is acceptable with NMC? Going by what they have on their website they specified at least 6.5 in writing.

You can apply for a remark in writing

NMCN does not waste time anymore in verifying certificate. Just pay and submit everything. They are efficient and reliable now.
I was waiting for my tracking number three weeks after submission only to be informed by CGFNS that they have received my docs without hassles or the usual errors.

Got my IELTS, once without hassle. Scores needed for visascreen for USA. Believe yourself and trust God and you can do it. I took my IELTS, 10 days after my NCLEX. I actually booked ahead before my NCLEX exam. Thank God.

That is nice to know. How much did you pay? Did you pay separately for courier?

You are not expected to pay for courier service as the 54k covers everything. And as for the Duration, @Theyoungmatron is correct.

Ok. but please does anyone have a contact at NMCN Abuja for verification? My case is unique as the form was sent to them by email so I need someone to follow up. I am not verifying for US, UK or Canada.
Thank you

@IyaEjima,
Please I will like to ask you some questions by email could you please reply to my PM via Nairaland?
Thanks

IyaEjima:

I beg to disagree with this info cuz I am practising in Manitoba. Even with the merger (which is only within one health region (and only in the ER and ICU depts which Nigerian nurses hardly go to) leaving other specialty areas in this region and other health regions free of this your allegation, there are still nursing positions open every single day and people are still getting employed. The college (and not board) doesn’t delay applications (evaluations come from NNAS by the way, You apply to the college after NNAS and people hear back from the college within 5-7days at the latest). People delay themselves because it takes them forever to come up with the exam fee, pick an exam date and prep for their competence exam. Need I add that many IENs are scared of the exam and spread rumours around instead. I remember people telling me it was the hardest exam ever and if I listened to them and prepared eternally, I may never have gathered the courage to write it. So please be very objective when you advise people.

Please share your testimony

To make it easier, I will share it here for everyone who needs this.
It can be very troubling to be in this kind of situation.
First, you have to be very sure you know when and where the discrepancy originated from. If you go about this the wrong way, council may decide to withdraw your registration (we don't pray for that).
What I did were;
I got a lawyer who communicated with council on my behalf, so they took the issue seriously

I got another date of birth affidavit from the same court I did the first one from,to nullify the first one.
You need to get a cogent reason for the nullification

All other documents that showed my real date were sent to the Registrar council, along with an official letter requesting for a change of DOB.

I also did a newspaper publication, just like the one you do when you want to do a change of name
Stating that "... is my date of birth, NMC Nigeria and the entire public should take note"
This was also sent to council.
I'm available for any further clarification. Thank you
