THE sage, Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola, today, in Ogbomoso became the rallying point for leaders of the nation, Nigeria, as eminent citizens from all parts of the country converged on the city for his post-humous lecture, the 2016 edition and the 50th rememberance of the late politician.

The Lecture held annually in the memory of the late Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola, former Minister of Health of Nigeria, and former Premier of the defunct Western Region.

The venue of the lecture, Lautech literally overflowed as leading politicians, jurists, academics, diplomats, monarchs, industry captains, activists and people from other walks of life came together to reminisce on his life and times, as well as his legacies.

The roll call of dignitaries present include the governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Former governor of the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, Elder stateman, Sir Richard Akinjide, Son of the late sage, Amb. Yomi Akintola, the state chairman of APC, Chief Oke, former chairman of Ogbomoso North local government, Engr. Dayo Lawal among others.

There will be an interdenominational rememberance service tomorrow at the Samuel Ladoke Lounge, Oke Ado Ogbomoso starting by 10 am.
