Hi MII6, it's a common issue, especially if you seldom use the road at night. However, what you can do is to keep your sight on the rear light of the vehicle in front. This will help in rendering other distractions minimal, while aiding your movement and distance. If there is no vehicle in front, then you can keep dimming and 'undimming' your headlamps intermittently,as this will help in focusing more on the road . If you guys are having trouble focusing during night driving, I would advise you get you sight checked. You're not opticians, so how can you assume your visions are perfect? 1 Like |

Check if any of your mirrors is directly reflecting light into your eyes and adjust accordingly. Focus on the rear light in front of you. Avoid streets without streetlights in the night. And last please do not drive under the intoxicating influence of alcohol. |

MII6: It's probably not your eyesight. Nigerian Night drivers, have a bad habit of using full beam by default, while driving at night, dazzling the eyesight of oncoming drivers!!! Get yourself a HID kit of about 6000k, that should enhance your night time driving vision. But still have your eyesight checked out!!! 2 Likes |

Lexusgs430: 6000K HID gives a bluish tint and wouldn't enable him see very far. He should get a 4-5000k. Better still he should sell off the car and get a car with factory installed HID. |

kingreign: Cost of buying new car with HID vs Cost of upgrading headlamps to HID? OP, you decide!!!! NB: 6000k HID does it for me well, OP you decide on HID strength you want, do your research !!!! |

Night driving....the best Do not look directly into the headlamps of oncoming vehicles. Try to focus on their sides. But if the road is so free and you can't still see, then you have poor headlamps or you can't see well at night |

stop looking at d full beam of on coming vehicle and improve d visibility of your headlight. d former is d cause rather than d latter if this doesnt solve the problem then u r night blind perfect night driving is an experience you gain with practice esp in city pls dnt try it on naija highway except u wanna die, u cant avoid it entirely. d speed you drive at is dependent on ur level of visibility, u stop when u cant see at all |
