A 2015 study has warned women that if they want to plan a family, they need to think about it early. According to the scientists, women who want to have a big family should start trying for a baby by 23. Trying at this age means she will have a 90 percent chance of having three children, if that’s what she wants. If she wants to have three children and waits till she is 31 before trying, her odds of becoming a mother of three falls to 75 percent and if she holds on until 35, her odds of having three children drops to 50 percent. Women wanting two children should not leave it later than 27 while those wanting one child should start trying by 32. British scientists came to this conclusion after an analysis of fertility data from more than 58,000 women. The study also found that pregnancy remains an option for women in their early 40s, with the chance of conceiving about 50 percent. The researchers also said that fertility problems did not affect men until they were well into their 40s. The study was published in the New Scientist.
