Could someone please advice if it is contra banned to import diapers from UK to Nigeria? I understand this is to protect manufacturers in Nigeria i.e. P & G and others

It is not contraband to import diapers into Nigeria. I was planning this some years back & was told it is contraband. I checked the Import Prohibition List online and didn't see it. Also, I wrote to Customs TV programme on NTA where the publicly replied on camera that it is not Banned. You can see lots of Huggies in Nigeria-they are not produced locally but Imported!

Wow its been 2 yrs now since this discussion started, however things havent really changed much. Diapers are still being imported and the gas sctor in nigeria hasnt developed so much. Nigeria doesn't t have the resources nor machinery to recycle or[b] dump [/b] the diapers after the final usage, Think about the harm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!because it takes about 100years for the used diapers to decompose in the soil .It is not just about the money, you will make cool cool coolbut the . the impact on the environment.
