FastShipping: I am surprised you are writing this. Are you saying this new in the history of Northern Nigeria and Northern Islam? Please, let us not divert attention from this known cultural "abi" religious issue. So many of our Northern brothers and friends are doing it, and this is why VVF is growing at an alarming rate. If I may ask. What is the cause of VVF? Where else do we have VVF in Nigeria outside the North? Please, call a spade a spade! And condemn evil! Note: you were asking for a picture. I also saw a picture of the "couple" juxtaposed to each other. 1 Like |

guest12345: Point me to that section in the post where it was stated that I hate Northerners. Why must you lie to get your point across? And how long will it take the women to investigate the matter, and discover if it is true? Someone here has just confirmed that it took place in the Baba Ahmed family house in Kaduna and that is their standard practice. |

geesilver: First, the reporter is not sure of homself Secondly, the colour of the "bride's" dress is not the same with that of the husband and that's not part of our culture |

Mamatee07: Not a joke. The Founder of Islam was in his 40s when he married his beloved niece Aisha at 6 and slept with her when she was 9. But Aisha never conceived and was barren for life for reasons which Muslims don't want us to know. Search for the book "Unveil Me My Love" on the details. |

DeMekus: And what if she is his daughter or sister? You know, the biggest reason I'm denying this story is that in our tradition, the groom and the bride wear dresses of the same colour. |
Re: This Little Girl Got Married In Northern Nigeria (Unconfirmed) by DeMekus: 6:24pm On Jan 19, 2016 |
abduljabbar4:It can't be his sister, never. I've seen a marriage ceremony similar to this one when I traveled to Kaduna 3 years ago. It's something that has to do with religion and tradition. There's something sacred about Muslims and female virgins, especially those in the north. They don't joke with it; they believe that wedding a girl at a very tender age would prevent her from having pre-marital sex. The girl would then be monitored by her parents/guardians until she's old enough to be with her husband. To some extent, it's working for them. 1 Like |

DeMekus: Don't tell me anything about kaduna or Hausa's culture. Even the child brides are usually above 14 years and that mostly happen in villages. Where in Kaduna did you see that? Just tell me the name of the town |
Re: This Little Girl Got Married In Northern Nigeria (Unconfirmed) by DeMekus: 6:39pm On Jan 19, 2016 |
abduljabbar4:You think I'm lying? It's somewhere called Gbangida near Sabongari (I don't know if I get the spelling correctly, plus this thing happened 3 years ago). I still don't understand why you're doubting this picture or possibility of a minor wedding a full-grown man. It doesn't only happen in Nigeria but in almost all the Islamized countries across the globe. It's a culture. |

abduljabbar4:You want me to start lying? I said it's 3 years ago and I can't recall everything. I stayed there just 2 days before going back to my state. BTW, does Kaura sound familiar? |
