I AM IN TOTAL SUPPORT OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION!
But wisdom is needed and profitable to direct!
You the common man beating your chest will be the casualty of this impending war.
Don't allow hatred and myopic political sentiments cloud ur sense of reasoning, direction and actions.
. Has the common man not suffered enough on the grounds of the shameless attitude of the thieving elite in public office through the decades? The reason why elected and appointed officials steal is because the law has not made enough examples of past offenders.

Thanks for asking the obvious questions. Let's not allow our hatred for these yam eaters deny us of critical thinking. The current twist of things mustn't be unconnected with his recent criticism of the government. They are just trying to break and humiliate him.
Well some have just pointed out that when Nigerian Prison Service brings suspects to court, they use handcuffs (as is the case presently). But when EFCC or DSS brings suspects from their custody to court, they don't put them on cuffs. Could this be a reasonable explanation for this?... I hope to find out before the day ends.

Whats the point in putting him in handcuffs? This man is a known public figure, are there beliefs he will try to run away?
I guess the intention is to publicly embarrass him.

leave that side, if you don't commit a crime nobody will arrest you in the first place. Have you ever seen a public official in Nigeria falsely arrested for embezzlement? This is Nigeria, we know how things work here, many crooks have been arrested and gotten away with it for one reason or another. Whether they can prove their case is another matter but nobody arrested a former or serving public official for embezzlement if they haven't done anything. This is sending a symbolic message to all those who have stolen with impunity.

. Even a rapist or petty thief caught in the act is innocent until pronounced guilty by a competent court, let's equate all alleged thieves and embezzlers and tag them as the same. Why do we always want to accord special privileges to thieves in high places.

Nobody is saying they should not be "tagged" as thieves especially wen found guilty by a court and not on the pages of newspapers, like we are currently witnessing, 15 governors stole 100 trillions, 8 ministers stole 70 trillions, 30 business men stole 50 trillions etc, the question is has the court find them guilty? No! Less do the right thing, Nigerians will support this present govt on their fight against corruption, if done in d right way, and not on "Newspaper".

But this is wrong absolutely it's a coward act. Why handcuffed this man This is wrong I don't think I ever seen Col Dasuki in this humiliating manner. So those who got billions of the share walked to court with no handcuff but he that got 400 million got handcuffed and some guys here are smilling pls is this right

Sorry to go a bit sentiment, is it because he was the opposition mouthpiece or is it because he is a igbo man or what Why handcuffed when not yet indicted hhhmmmm...........apc I swear your end will be so brutal just watch your tsunami is on the way.

PDP didn't remember the rule of law when they trampled on the rights of millions of Nigerians to having a good life and protect them from the enemies of the state-BOKO HARAM. In their cunny ways they allowed insurgency to fester so that they can keep spending and diverting as much billions as time and space permitted them. The chicken has come home to roost and we simply don't pity them as they go through their travails.

Lol at your lame attempt to qualify your muguness tongue tongue tongue tongue
A mugu is nothing but a mugu no matter how smart you may think you are

Now back to the topic, handcuffs are used for restraining suspects meaning he must have displayed some sort of thuggish behavior hence the treatment

Besides, he is an alleged criminal so what's with the "big man" expectation?

Did I ever mention I do not support the fight against corruption?
Where is the so called "change" if we chose to act like animals in a democratic society.
I noticed that those in support without logical reasoning are from the SW.
He is not guilty until proven otherwise by the law courts.
I want them in to pay for their alleged atrocities but let the fight be fair, unbiased, and just.

Is Metuh a prisoner? Who imprisoned him?
I do not necessarily agree with the initial comment you quoted, but if my memory serves me well, he was remanded in Kuje prison by a High Court Judge. And if my eyes also serves me right, I think I am seeing him being escorted to court by Prison officials.

This is my annoyance about apc government too much lies, too much propaganda to win cheaply, too much pretending and too much bunch of failures. Excuses upon excuses go do the job hell No but busy so much with this stole that and that stole this. *A failure always has excuses* that is how I see apc and this make me to hate them with passion.

You are very correct, once you are remanded in prison custody, you will be produce in handcuffs by prison wardens. Remember it was the judge that asked Metu to be remanded in prison custody. But once you are remanded in DSS or EFCC custody, you would be brought back without cuffs.
