What bugs me the most is why these people think that a "God" would put believing higher than every other virtue man can think of, I mean there is being good natured and kind and all that mushy stuff one human being can be to another but he chooses believing higher than the others,
@noetic
Your brain is playing tricks on you, nothing you see in this physical world is a true representation of what it really is, the software in your own brain has been seriously tampered with by the bible, you are damaged goods for life, sorry.

have u ever considered the possibility that u might be wrong? And the brain-game might be on ur brain?

Some of the arguments/points raised by the "aye - sayers" are laughable at best.

From tpiah: He went ahead with creation, because he understood that u would feel bad, if He just dumped u (an uncreated spirit being) into hell fire by default.
So He chose to create u, educate u about the choices u have, give u the liberty to make that choice and subsequently punish or reward u for that choice.

Yet another from the same tpiah: yes He does. Jesus predicted the fall of Jerusalem.

However, humans not knowing the future doesnt mean God is the same way.

We can ask why but all that means is our knowledge is limited.

hope no problem?

According to Genesis 11:5 it clearly states, “And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, . . . The fact that God had to come down “to see” what they were doing in Babel or Sodom, means he does not know everything at all times. Or, this is not the God but rather a God.

Why is believing most important?

can you explain how you'd rewrite that phrase in UFO language?

I believe the writer was a human being speaking a human language and writing for a human audience.

In what context is "believing" being used? what do u mean by believing?

Well stated.

Why is this so hard to deduce?

Have you not read it in the bible: I'm the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
He is the all-knowing God.

He Asked Jeremiah to tell his people of what he was about doing so that when it starts
happening there won't be any argument about His abilities and Capabilities.
He knows the end from the beginning.

He gave revelation to Joseph concerning the famine in the land of Egypt.
He revealed so many things to Daniel.

Plz don't doubt this Jehova God. He said: Before you were formed in your mothers womb i knew thee.

Dont try to divert!!, you know very well that this is not the point!!. The point is how can the LORD have to come down to see if he know everything?. If he have the gift of foresight he dont have to come down to see. And come down from where?. If your "god" is Omnipresent he dont have to come down because he is already everywhere. Your "god" cannot come down from a point A to see what is hapening on a point B because if he is Omnipresent he is on point A and B at the same time. Another proof that your "bible" is not accurate

There's absolutely no need for UFO language they could have simply written Gen 11:5
"And the LORD being present saw the city and the tower. . . .''
Surely there wouldn't be any questions raised as to his ominipresence.

You know, for a god who's perfect and all knowing he has a funny way of leaving his word open to several wrong interpretations. Guess that's why over 30,000 christian sects exist today. . . grin

Yes, and this is why Christians are so confused. In the bible they use the words came down, see it here  http://bible.cc/genesis/11-5.htm

If this "god" need to COME DOWN to see it is a proof that he is not omnipresent ant not omniscience so this god dont even have the gift of foresight.

If you read the bible like a story book you come up with these kind of questions. unless the holy spirit teaches you you cannot know the bible not to talk of knowing God. God does his business not to impress you but in achieving his will. Humans are just part of his creation. There are other creations even before humans. I am not sure the debate will lead anywhere, but let me remind you of this quote: "the fool says in his heart, that there is no God"
