You are calculating years of service, promotion, salaries, allowances, etc, it's a way forward, but then enough massaging awaits the successful ones, be in the system first, onward the obvious shall come. Mind you, the way last interview was conducted was quite different from the one a year before it was conducted, and so it goes on and on,in essence, system changes, pray it favors you when your turn reach, even the President said it"there was tremendous changes between last year passing out parade and the recent one. As it is,let the by-gone by-gone and the so-on be so-on. No retreat no surrender• Ahead Ahead-----»»»---->>>

Is not just age, there is what is called Run Out Dates(ROD), It was approved by Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin (When he was CDS). Here, every rank has age limit and run out dates or better still age on rank retirement, for instance if you remain a Brig.Gen. at 56 then you retire immediately and so on and so forth, once i see the details i will post here

Bros I disagree with answer no. 1. SSC and RC officers gets promoted to LT, 6 months after their POP that's d standard now, promotions for officers is now 5 years. As for the list we shld expect it next week.
Thanks for the info. But sir, lets be very objective here...........if promotion is 5 years then it will be difficult to reach Brig.Gen,very small number will hang colonel while majority will retire as Lt.Col.,some DSSC officers will even go as majors, you can check it your self considering our age now. I know of RC (formely SSC) officers who are Maj.General and many Brig.Generals now
