FC Ifeanyi Ubah, one of the two privately owned clubs in the Nigerian Professional Football League has set the pace in its bid to win its first league title. The football club owned by the Billionaire businessman, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has just flown in six footballers and two assistant coaches from Brazil after successful negotiations with their clubs. The players and coaches who landed Lagos, Nigeria at about 1:30PM aboard South African Airline yesterday looked excited at the challenge ahead.

In telephone conversation with the club’s media team about the arrival of the players/coaches, the Club Chairman, Mr Chukwuma Ubah stated how delighted the club is with the arrival of the Brazilian players and coaches. He affirmed his belief and confidence in the Brazilian players/coaches and their capacity to bring their experience to the team with a view to winning the league title for the first time and within its second attempt. He said that the choice of Brazilians will spur and challenge our local talents to bring out the best in them to meet international standard. He reiterated the club’s desire to win the league this coming season and promised that the club will stop at nothing to achieving its goal.

The Agent of the players, Mr. Alexander in a visibly elated mood poured encomiums on Dr. Ubah and the Club’s management for their vision and determination to become the premier football club not only in Nigeria, but in the whole of Africa. He further stated that FC Ifeanyi Ubah is a promising team and expressed his optimism to continue to partner positively with the club to achieve greater and lofty heights. He assured that the players will put in their best to ensure that the club achieves its goal of winning the Premier League title.

Good development. Hope the foreign coaches and players add depth to the team.

But they should watch it. The Nigerian league is a very different pot of soup. They had better brace up for on-field punches and fans' stampede. The poor organisation is a different matter for another day.

if dem give u nigerian airways u go fly for free?i love flying but am weary of wat airlines i fly..its enuff that its risk is high even with the best airlines as it were...let alone the ones u already knw u av no guarantee of safety..even our african neighbours might not grant us landing license on their soil..ask ruggedman in his hit track wen he said people wanted to ground his carreer like nigerian AIRWAYS..LOL
