The garri you purchase in the market is likely contaminated by rates as you don't know how it was stored.

Today we got warned by the nigeria medical association on the danger of "soaking" garri with cold water.

Here is a solution so you can keep enjoying your garri (unfortunately not everybody will be able to do this)
Had to come up with this cos I can't stop drinking garri

Use a microwave to heat up the dry garri, allow to cool, then soak and enjoy. Lol

On a more serious note now, this is a time we have to be careful. Era of washing your hands with sanitizer is back.
