It was a sad event yesterday in Ibadan as a young boys was electrocuted by the low voltage line while trying to fix a wire. The source who pleaded anonymity said that the boy tried to change the phase of the wire when his hand touched to the pole and he was electrocuted to death.

Although the authority of the electricity distribution company has not released any statement the case would be referred to as a case of sabotage as no official authority was given to the boy to perform such operation by the company of its staff.

I am sure when he was about climbing the pole and people were telling him not to, he must have been screaming " But I am an Engineering student"

Moral of the story folks; stay off electric poles. If you want to reconnect your wire, get a professional electrician to help you do it. Your life is not worth few hours of electricity.
