We just came back from a long holiday from Yola, we brought with us four live broilers, they died one after the other until was one left. I was not happy as they died but what can I do. I got an empty carton and made it into a chicken's house, I kept some grinded grains mixed with sugar in the carton, some water and a lantern. Everyday after school, I will knock on the carton and will hear the sound of the chicken until one day........


As usual, I knocked on the carton but there was no sound damn! What's happening with my chicken? I knocked again still there was no sound. I quickly opened the carton and behold!


I found my little chicken has been slaughtered. I had tears in my eyes, who could have done such an evil thing? An innocent harmlesss chicken not even old enough to be eaten.
