obiano has commissioned salaries as at when due which is enough. when will amosu ogun commission ogun workers salary despite receiving 20 billion bailout fund that has left the state indepted for 60 years?

Good job OP, Trust the iPods to cry. If you don't like what you are seeing press back!

I think governors in the SW are forgetting one important thing -- regional integration. We should actually be helping each other develop. A modern rail from Ilorin to Lagos can help achieve this. You can be sure of settlements, industries and development at every point the rail lands. Farm products, goods and commuters can be moved quickly and easily from one extreme point to another. People can live in Ogun, Oyo, etc., and work in Lagos.

I believe Lagos should champion this especially because of its overpopulation.

They are slacking and failing per the highlighted, this is gross leadership failure across the board from the state level to the national level.

They obviously need at least 1 very solid 6-8 lane interstate concrete highway and a rail system to effectively move people, goods and services back and forth..

....but I'm not sure if states by law can erect interstate transportation infrastructures, I think this is strictly federal responsibility.

It is possible, we have heard in the past cases of state governments who built federal roads and took reimbursement from FG. If my memory serves me right, Rivers state did so during Amaechi's tenure.

I don't know what the cost outlay will be, but such ideas is worth taking foreign loans for. Even if Nigerian laws forbid it, it will not be out of place to lobby the FG to commit to doing it.

Ogun state has benefited a lot from Lagos and can still earn more revenue from tax by developing Sango-Ota, Mowe, Epe, etc. This will make these areas much more attractive for residential developments.
