In what could be described as elevation well deserved, the Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kolapo Olusola Eleka, has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor by the management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ile in Osun State.

The promotion which was expected to take effect from October 1, 2009, was confirmed on Friday, 29th January, 2016 by Appointment and Promotions Committee of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Ikere Local Government, Barrister Ola Alonge, has congratulated the deputy governor on his promotion as an Associate Professor.

He described the new professor as a quintessential of the fountain of knowledge and an exemplary leader per excellence.

“In a simple term, we are proud of the Fayose-led team, part of which we are having another professor today. We say congratulations to our newly promoted professor. “Ekiti is blessed with brilliant chaps and I’m proud of myself being an indigene,” Ikere LG boss said.
