The Information Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed in a statement recently, countered former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s claims that the weapons procured by his administration are currently being used in the war against Boko Haram.

The Minister of Information said “The weapons, ammunitions and equipment which the former president said he bought were refurbished and lacked the basic components and spare parts. Additionally, the ammunition bought for both high-calibre and small weapons have mostly expired, incompatible with weapons and grossly inadequate.

“It is pertinent to state that the ammunition he was referring to were back-loaded because they explode within the barrel when fired, thus leading to deaths and injuries among soldiers.”

Editor's Note: It all seems clearer that Lai Mohammed is not fit to be Nigeria Information Minister. He is not even a politician considering the way he talks. He is simply a propagandist.

Liars everywhere in this government.

From "Jonathan didn't buy any weapons" to "Jonathan bought sub-standard weapons".

The hypocrisy, deceits, lies, falsehood, half-truths and nothingness Buhari's government represents is alarming.

However, I might spare them a little bit for they didn't foist themselves on us, but I will perpetually reprimand those short-sighted and ignorant Nigerians who foist them on is by their ballot.

May Posterity forgive them!

One thing President Buhari don't know is that experience matters a lot . Min. Lai Mohammed made some contradictory disreputable remarks about Jonathan"s administration about staled weapons procured during his administration and forgetting that Nigerians are not dumb to know that the same weapon you condemned are what you're claiming to use to win the war against BH. He should probably get a spokes person cos he acts like he's always misinformed.

Soon, this man would become irrelevant in the world of politics.
He should:
-Learn how to think before talking
-know that being the Minister of Info. does not mean he should walk about saying trash.
-Stop lying.

BTW,why is it that any stuff that GEJ says, this government finds it very hard to debunk them.
Is it that he is sincere but this government is just trying to defame him by all means or what?
Only time will tell.

Most of you bashing Lai Mohammed do not have idea with it takes to be a minister of Information.
None of u have ever held a small position like PRO of ur village meeting/union.

What Lai Mohammed said is not far from the truth. Its very obvious just that when someone u hate makes a comment, it will never taste fine in ur system.

My anger with GEJ is that he overpriced the obsolete items he bought. Had it been they were bought at right price, I will be asking Lai Mohammed which one have ur government bought so far

Seriously can This Man just keep quiet. He's he's fast becoming a tool for mediocrity of this administration; saying things that are irrelevant.

What is wrong With Nigerian communication ministers. They always talk off point. Labaran Maku once said he thank Jonathan for bringing Facebook to Nigeria. Now another labaran maku has been unleashed on us. Hope he doesn't thank PMB for bringing instagram
