Thousands of youth in Kano city, Nigeria, came out in a protest march,
solidarity and call for the unconditional release of Shaikh Ibraheem
Yaquob El Zakzaky (H) today, Wednesday 25th Rabiul Thani, 1437
(3/2/2016).
The protest march organized by Youths of the Islamic Movement in
Nigeria started from the Old Kano city Central Mosque at around 4pm
and pass through some major streets in Kano that include Kasuwar Rimi,
Kofar Nasarawa, Zaria Road, Zoo road and ended at Shoprite (Former
KanoTrade fair Complex).
The protesters were denouncing the atrocities of Zaria massacre on
12-14 December, 2015 of the Nigerian Army in which Shaikh Ibraheem
Zakzaky (H) was injured with gun shoots as well as his wife Malama
Zeenat Ibraheem and his followers, apart from the killing of armless
about 1000 followers of Shaikh Zakzaky (H) in which there are 3
biological sons of his.
They called for the unconditional release of Shaikh Zakzaky (H), his
followers some of whom are their Parents, Brothers and Sisters. Also
the release of those held illegally by the army and security outfits,
the return of the dead bodies they have killed and compensation on all
destroyed properties.
Many onlookers sympathized with the Islamic Movement and calling for
the heeding to the Islamic movement demand for justice.
The protest march ended with a closing speech of the demands of the
Islamic movement on the Zaria 12-14th December, 2015 massacre, and
closing prayers
