The Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has got yet another boost as a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon and former commissioner for Health in the state, Dr. Femi Thomas is set to join the party.
He said he is joining the party to fulfil his long drawn ambition of being a key stakeholder in the Nigerian renaissance.
The renowned surgeon said he had been a long standing admirer of President Muhammadu Buhari from his student days in the late 80s.

Dr. Thomas, according to a statement by his Media Consultant, Prince Tunde Adeleke, is to formally declare for the APC at his Ikoro-Ekiti home town in Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at an event slated for 1:00pm.
The event which would hold at the APC secretariat, the statement added, would draw party leaders and faithful from across the state.
Dr. Thomas, who according to Prince Adeleke, would be joining his new party with hundreds of supporters from the 12 wards in the local government area has had an unblemished career as a medical practitioner and a technocrat.

Cardiothoracic surgeon should be busy attending to high level trauma patients or seriously ill people not chasing after elective posts but this is naija... Things na sideways e dey look..

I hope he has cleared himself of the corruption allegations levelled against him while at NHIS? He got a juicy political appointment under PDP and he's quick to jump into APC after the defeat of PDP.
