Someone said that shizzi charged up to 3million naira per beat shocked , i was like if i have 3million naira then why am i going to music, airforce please u know better pls help me out? am thinking about going into music after my university education

3million? That's inflated. A few top producers charge 1 mill per track. Most of the other top producers charge between 300 and 500k. Fairly popular ones charge between 70 and 150k. There's no standard price though, it all depends on who you are to them. Their goons willl obviously pay less.

3 million, how much is a music video then?
From the small experience I've chilling in my amateur producer-friends' studios I'd say ~2,500 - 5,000 for a beat highest. Full albums round up to about 75 - 80,000.
Big name Nigerian artists most times avoid overhyped big name producers in favour of small time amateur ones. I'm not yet sure if it's because of price but I know very well it's because on average Nigerian artists don't have talent so rely on luck and a shotgun approach to making music - there's a bigger margin of success working with many producers as possible since at least one hit would result from the interaction. Best case scenario all the songs they produce turn out hits.
